Hey, really new to designing. What's the difference between unreal engine and studio? Id like to make a game>so unreal engine, but would unreal studio make the textures look better or something?
ОтветитьWhen I import the model it doesnt import textures correctly, all of the models are same weird texture... I created skp model from Archicad, then open in Sketchup to save as Unreal.
Any help is apprecaited, thank you.
Awsome
Ответитьyou forgot to tell how to add collision !!
Ответитьhey there!, love your videos. I've got a problem when i export with datasmith to UE4, all the groups (meshes) are imported just fine with the same materials/textures as in sketchup, but whenever i try to apply one of UE's materials from the start content, the scale of the material is so tiny, whereas if i creat a mesh plane from ue4 and apply the same material the scale is fine. I've tried changin the units from m to cm on sketchup befor exporting but nothing... Thanks in advance!
ОтветитьDanke! :-)
Ответитьi do not have the Dathasmith import button
ОтветитьThank you! Realtime rendering is the future!
ОтветитьHey Justin, is it possible to bring in Twinmotion projects into UE4? If so, could you point me in the right direction? Thank you in advance.
Ответитьwhen i import sketchup model using your method.its take a lot of time more than 45 mins for completly load its textures . I dont know why this happened. My system specs include 16gb ram, 2070 rtx max q, i7 , 1tb ssd..justin can you say what issue behind this i am really stuck at this.uts shows compiling shaders and still its loading....

ОтветитьI think iam having 'unit' issues...
I applied the starter materials and they looked small textures... Where to change the unit in ue4
Comparison between Twinmotion and Unreal Engine !?
ОтветитьI only want the exporter.
Ответитьwhat is all these white dots that come along with the file and make unreal so busy with hudreads of references in these white dots ??????

ОтветитьIam having problems with some models when i import them from sketchup, like some parts dissapear from the main model, what could have gone wrong?
ОтветитьMake more videos on unreal engine 4...everyone waiting for this....not only SketchUp
Ответитьwhy does it take so long to build light with datasmith? i made a simple room with just a few furniture but it takes hours to build light with datasmith imported models
ОтветитьI tried to replace a wood texture that came in from sketchup with a nicer wood material from quixel bridge but it has come in tiled very small, does this mean I have to fix the UV in sketchup before importing with datasmith or is it an issue with the quixel bridge wood material?
ОтветитьHi Sir,
I am facing some problem regarding datasmith camera.
When i export a datasmith file from 3ds max to ue and create a sequence in ue, the field of view is different. Datasmith import camera animation and everything correctly but not the fov.
Why the same camera behave differently in 3ds and UE ?
I can change the current focal length of the UE camera so that the “Current Horizontal FOV” of the UE can match the “FOV” of 3ds max to have the FOValmost same. but it can not be matched perfectly due to lots of decimal point so the cg layer will slide in after effects. i think all the camera properties should be automatically matched by datasmith including the field of view.
I tried in UE4.26, UE4.27 and UE5. Same problem
My workflow in UE:
Import datasmith file in UE
It automatically place everything imported on the scene
I create a new sequence
add new “camera cut track” and assign the camera (imported through datasmith)
add new “shot track” and assign the sequence (imported through datasmith)
am i doing something wrong ?
Please help, i am new to the UE.
Thanks in advance.
Just to be clear before I make the purchase. Is Twinmotion just the light version of UE5 which gives you all Twinmotion features but with more control options & better render output?
ОтветитьThank you very much man
ОтветитьBravo, clear!
ОтветитьHey Justin,
Love your tutorials. I followed the whole process and was perfectly able to import sketchup file in UE5[beta]. But when I press play it keeps falling through the surface instead of standing on it.
Please suggest me solution.
I'm really a new UE user.
Unfortuantely this is not possible with sketchup 2017 make :(
ОтветитьThat's cool 😤
ОтветитьHi...
my SketchUp 2020pro not showing exporter datasmith (export > 3dmodel > 3Ds , dwg, dxf.....ect (datasmith missing)
My SketchUp Datasmith export is all scattered when imported into UE can you please help me on why this might be happening
ОтветитьHi Justin. I thinking of stopping using vray. I dislike the slow process and the stiffness of feature. I've been loving D5 & Enscape bcuz the real-time experience and speed. But im lacking the high quality feel of the general result. Do you think unreal engine or other software is recommended to fulfill the role of the "complete" render engine?
ОтветитьThanks for all these videos Justin! When bringing in geo the collisions are an issue, any tip/advise?
ОтветитьThank you for making this video! I've being struggling to import my sketchup file into unreal engine from a long time ."Saviour".Really helpful video! Your way of teaching helps designers work become more easier and faster .This makes us learn faster and better.
You explain softwares really well!🙂👍. Keep making such videos !
Seriously. I don't even care about the rest of the video, but if someone is looking for how to import sketchup files into unreal you really don't have to go over how to install or navigate default unreal
