I got hell from Karens (Men, Women and Other's) coming back from Afghanistan when I was an engineer that helped the communities in multiple provinces building playground and hospitals. I took enemy fire, had two broken fingers and had shrapnel into my leg that is still there from 2001. The doctors that worked to help me told me way back then that there was no recognition for indirect fire and no purple heart. Oh well , it's been 23 years and I suppose nothing will change. It's sad to see this man get off with a VA appointment when there's a whole half Millon others like me with nothing.

I liked the Judge's decision. Although, with all the respect to that Vietnam veteran and the Judge, I would like to hear the Judge, to at least ask the man to drive safer and watch out for those light and speeding. Because in the end, even though that was a very humble veteran, he still could have caused an accident where someone could have gotten hurt.

No one should have to go to war. However nothing excuses endangering people. May I ask opinion on the judge just saying, " I don't want to see you in here again". In a respectable but stern way.
