Chicken picking Brazil ❤
ОтветитьThanks for all you do Aaron. As a college professor in music - applied guitar, who is a trained jazz player, I purchased your Bluegrass package both to learn the style and to become a better all-around player. Your instruction is one of the best on this platform. You have obviously spent a lot of time in reflection how you learned and how best to instruct others to learn. Thanks again!
ОтветитьThanks a lot 🙏🙏🙏🙏
ОтветитьNo. 5 has always drove me crazy. Thanks Aaron ❤🤘
ОтветитьI just love hearing you play 😊❤
ОтветитьAwesome video Aaron! All points were excellent, but your bonus “secret” should be applied to all aspects of life. Too often, we look at what others have ( money, possessions, talent, etc) and convince ourselves to compare or compete with them, only to be in the same situation down the road. Looking at the person in the mirror and deciding to compete and improve with that person is not only more realistic, but more tangible, and allows one to actually effect change. Other people may be good examples, however it is less important to be the best (guitar picker, businessman, husband, father, neighbor) than to be better than one was before. That is real progress and growth, and is something which will lead to real satisfaction. Thanks again!
ОтветитьGreat advice bud!
ОтветитьKillin it
ОтветитьDude. Great Stuff
ОтветитьSuch a great video Aaron.
ОтветитьAnd again a fabulous video, thank you Arron
ОтветитьGreat philosophy and guide. I started getting serious 10 years ago at age 59.Thanks to your fine example I’m focusing more narrowly and progressing broadly! To me it’s about identifying weaknesses and chipping away until I like what I hear.Year after year I’m kicking my own ass.
ОтветитьGreat video Aaron! 100% agree with #5. My students are in the same boat. They don't need to do anything differently but manage expectations and stay the course!
ОтветитьAnother great video Aaron. Really liked your 'clips' of fiddle tunes. East Tennessee Blues caught my ear as it seems to be slow enough to be playable by me. Any chance of a full lesson on that one, please.
Ответитьyou rock - great vid as always - one of my favorite guitarists on the Tube!
ОтветитьSecret #5...yup, that's how you get good 😃
ОтветитьGreat video. Love your no nonsense aproach. Question: what song is that first lick you play from at the begining of the video? Thanks bud
ОтветитьGreat info Aaron! Being one of the older players; your tips are right on! 2 years is nothing! Smooth becomes fast with time and focus. If you want to quit; all you have to do is allow yourself to compare your own playing to any 7 year old you catch playing on a video with one of the top players in Nashville!
We are certainly all different but, we can all accomplish more than we realize if we just take the time to practice with focus and give ourselves a chance. I find that putting the guitar down for a day occasionally helps me learn a lick or a song much easier than just hammering at it day in and day out. Having someone with your expertise and willingness to share will enable us to make it happen much faster! Thanks Man!
I was stubborn about committing to rhythm too and it was a mistake. Rhythm is truly king and if you're good at it, you will never have a shortage of people that want to pick with you.
ОтветитьHey Aaron thank you for your brilliant lessons. I’ve binged a fair few this week. Not sure if you already have a video on this but could you show how you get from the 1 to the 4 chord when soloing? So G to C or C to F. I have some licks but it sounds very ‘on the nose’. I find it hard when improvising to sound ‘legit’ when playing through the changes. Thanks from the uk
ОтветитьGreat tips!
ОтветитьComparison is the thief of joy
ОтветитьAaron, this video is knocked out of the park!! I'm going to learn alot from you. Please tell me what strings your using and what gauges. They sound amazing and rich. Thank you Kenny J.
ОтветитьEvery time that I sit down and practice and this has been going on for a while now, I think man I’m so glad I found Aaron! I love your content and I’m super happy with your course that I bought. And taking everything into consideration that you just said in this video, and I did watch the entire thing, I was wondering if you would do a video about what a concentrated practice consists of. Obviously, we can make up 100 different practice routines but what about a basic skeleton form of one that we can add to? Thank you Aaron you are awesome!
Ответитьaw man, good stuff !
ОтветитьTwo hours a day will get you 10,000 hours in less than 14 years.
ОтветитьLast tip is crucial, I didn’t really start to see progress until I had realized that point
ОтветитьPlaying well takes lots of practice, patience and time. Not easy for all the young people with short attention spans. 😅
ОтветитьGood stuff!
ОтветитьWow, Aaron! You're such an awesome picker and teacher! Thanks for all you do!
ОтветитьAppreciate the secrets i know they are not easy to give away..!🎉
ОтветитьAaron plz try to increase your videos upload quality❤
Ответитьthank you so much for your work
ОтветитьAfter practicing and pracrticing and practicing on my cheap 80 dollar washburn d100 I've really come to the realization that for me to become a better picker I need to practice on a Martin d-28. Yours
ОтветитьNo.5 chase the best players and don’t give up! Put the hours in and you’ll get there! Yes kids, years not months!
ОтветитьUnsolicited advice incoming. Your playing and content is great. If you want to grow your channel, fix your audio, then your lighting. Get a different mic. The plosives are quite distracting. Just trying to help.
ОтветитьThank you Aaron!!! An amazing talented musician friend enlightened me last year that even he has to practice every day. I joined a slow BG jam and love it but intimidated comparing myself to the YT performances. Great advice to practice and only compare to myself 😂.
