you can print the exact same detail on a 6k printer ive actually printed models with much more detail, unless the model itself is truly designed with 12k pixel density, something like that will look pretty much the exact same from 4k- 12k, not saying it isnt an amazing resin printer but people automatically assume higher numbers mean better quality, yes the pixels are smaller, but if u cant perceive them with the human eye its just redundant anyways, its the same thing with 8k tvs. it is a nice resin printer tho and the models were also pretty good too, the one thing that the higher pixel density will be good for tho is making the build volume much larger without going under 4k quality

You'll get a better surface quality if you ditch the ACF and replace it with nFEP/PFA...

Where do you get the high speed resin? I couldn't find anything on Elegoo site. Just standard / ABS / water. Standard says "high precision" but that's all.

just to mantion, Lilith print is actually a fail print. it's missing this one spike near her face, had the same problem with this model, the spike just won't print

I would love to get into resin printing but I don't need miniatures but larger scale busts etc, it's a shame the price point is so expensive for size of the printers I don't understand why they're so small yet so expensive compared to fdm machines

Have you tried with a PFA/FEP and not the AFC? Would love to see the difference and maybe improvement in quality

Going to order mine tomorrow i juat wanted a second saturn 2 8k but then this came out a month after i got the Saturn 2 updated 2023 version love it alot so definitely going for a saturn 3 ultra!

I printed this same model with the saturn 2 and gk2 and it might be the camera but the details on here look alot less detailed than either of the others I printed. Also I see alot of layer lines in this print. On the saturn 2 I can see layer lines on the chest but not on the gk2.

I see that even with 12k resolution, the layer lines are still visible. the figure is not completely smooth.

Thank you for this clear and concise presentation. By the time I convince myself to dive into this hobby/passion, they should have 256k resolution printers as commonplace items. LOL And before you scoff at that notion, I remember when digital cameras were just starting and those (comparatively) low resolution cameras were "so great!" Now those early res cameras would be a joke - as a 12K printer will be in not that long from now.😮

Great review, but god damn could one reviewer please provide a demo of a print of a standard mini so we can see an example of the detail captured… non of the reviews Ive found on any of the printers have got this as an example and this is all im looking at getting one for haha
