Shotcut Masking Tutorial

Hey - I've just started playing around with Shotcut, and it looks like you can combine multiple shapes by changing the Operation dropdown - Overwrite overwrites the earlier mask, but Maximum and Add seems to combine them in slightly different ways, while Minimum shows only the overlap between them, and Subtract cuts one shape out of the other, so you can probably create some complex shapes with Boolean logic!

See? Who would've thought you have to combine ': Apply' and ': Simple Shape'.

Good tip with the 'Brightness'. Gave me the idea to use 'Colour Grading' with it. Turning the blackness of the 'Brightness' to green. Then I added a 'Chroma Key: Simple' ready for VFX.
