I agree and still think they need to change where the vent holes are placed moving them up since the ash builds up and blocks them. Good review.

Did the cook pot come with the silicone lid or is that an add on?

Great video Joe, I really like the concept behind it. The millet, ham, and cheese looked delicious man, I have never tried it, but it looked so good

i like them(some more than others) was at my local MEC and they had something like it but felt to heavy for me to consider carrying it but the one salesman said they are getting different ones in soon so may have to rethink and recheck when the time comes lol

The stove looks good and since it's made of stainless steel, you could drill a couple more hole in it yourself. :)

Good review Joe...I usually just cook over a full fire but the more I watch these stove videos, the more I think about getting a stove...quick easy..no waiting for coals, easy to maintain the fire and easy to put out...HMMM I think I know what I am buying myself for my birthday LOL

First off, nice review sir (as usual)
On the stove any thoughts on the size of this stove and the wood sticking out the mouth burning so far away from the stove itself when it comes to areas where open fires are not allowed?
Also how does Millet compare to grits or polenta?

Very nice video. I've been looking at rocket stoves for their efficiency, but I really like the paleostove's small packing size, too. It looks like you could pack enough fuel for a couple days' meals without much difficulty if you were in an area with little or no debris readily available.

Outstanding video. Joe, I am in the market for a good backpacking wood stove.
This one looks good. I will be reviewing your reviews on others.
Thanks, Joe.

there are a lot of stoves now on the market and most work basically the same this one is OK if you haven't got time (but if you are in the wilderness time should not be a priority) it would be better if it had a grate and more air ports l personally love my Core 4 bio, even if it takes me a little more time to put together. Ps. you seem to find all the stoves you test fantastic so no one really knows if they are really good or what to buy. Regards barrie
