You've got to try the rose quartz tweak, also take your cables for cryo treatment and let us know if you hear anything.

Thomas, no one on the planet can hear the difference between two high quality sockets. No one! Think about what you're saying, think about all the sockets and contacts in an amp, especially a tube amp and a preamp or any amp that uses relays or switches to change inputs. Your friend is snake oiling you, challenge him to a double blind test and prove it for yourself.

In fact I'm so sure he can't do it that I'm willing to bet money he can't.

The biggest improvement for me was adding a ball bearing isolation system under my components. You can buy these but i made my own using ceramic ball bearings which work well for image focus

I am a huge believer to cable but the cooker got me cracking.

I have to agree about clean power. I have a system powered by a pure sine wave inverter that gets its energy from solar powered batteries. The HK amp produces deep base, and super wide sound stage but is not as defined as my home powered Yamaha AS 2100 with the same speaker.

Got to borrow your words with a tweat: WTD - that is ; What's the Diff? Can"t hear much diff, if at all, betw the standard power supply & Jcat. If need to be super analytical to hear the diff, prefer to just sit back & enjoy the music.

why making this demo if you dont possess a proper mic. this is a useless presentation of the initio. also house music ? why ? you have to demonstrate a natural instrument instead, so we could recognize if the lpsu makes them more real.

There does seem to be just a bit more air. Probably less noticeable thru 'tube. My dac has a buffer switch, that when on, resamples the music (gazillions of times) for a second. I always use it when listening to music, and off when watching vids, because you get a one-second sound lag. It takes the sound to another level, and after hearing it, I wouldn't want to do without it…

I find this sort of thing very frustrating. I'll watch a video by objetivists who measure and test power supplies, power conditioners, etc, and they cannot detect any discernable differences. But although I have not heard the product Thomas is discussing in thsi video, I did try a product that involved an LPS with my headphone rig, and it was not a subtle difference. I was very impressed by it. So then I start questioning whether it's just my own expectation biases, or if it's just the fact that you cannot measure all aspects of sound reproduction. I don't know, but I would testify under oath that a difference was very clear when I tried out an LPS.

Hi Thomas, besides power source there are many "tweaks" which has become parts of my hifi systems. A tweak I also appreciated was Stillpoints spikes not only for DAC but for its power supplier as well. Then a use of serially connected USB reclockers/enhancers also extreemely tweaked my Chord HMS + Hugo TT2 dac setup. Such Incredible USB onnection line from a Lumin U1 streamer to DAC is: 2 times Audiowise Opto Usb (2 in serial) + Uptone IsoRegen powered by Farad3 power supplier with Stillpoints + Holo Audio Titanis Turbo Usb . Those lifted a music not subtly though several wtfs levels. And as a bonus the best 12V power supplier tweak is not any power supplier, but a usage of LiFePO4 cell battery for 80 to 120 bugs. I have 5 power battery cells and 3 dedicated power suppliers for the Lumin streamer's network opto metalic covertor and for the dac setup in my system overall. Thank you for your thoughts. Clean power is so important, and it is right after room acoustics that an audiophile needs to invest first. My power conditioner is $65K lol

Nice information but will this Linear Power supply support my Denafrips DACS? Is this only applicable for DACS with 5V power supplies? Anyways the best tweak that worked for my system is my speaker decouplers, thanks for sharing happy listening 👍

The "tweak" that made the biggest difference to my system was .. by far .. adding an XLR to RCA converter between my DAC's balanced output to my amps single-ended input. Now ... for this to have maximum impact .. you can't go cheap. The quality of the transformer is critical. I bought the Decware ZBIT with a Jensen transformer. It was the best $800 I ever spent. Audio quality improved significantly. Soundstage, spatial quality, much tighter bass, etc. If you have a DAC with balanced output and an amp with single-input ... this converter is the best $$ you will every spend.

Regarding the cable cooker I'd love to see it tested. I have an unproven pet theory along the lines and that is: If I use far better equipment to burn in my cables will I benefit from it in my more modest system, will I hear an improvement compared to "home" burnt cables. Anyone up to test it....?

Thanks for the video. The best tweak I have is Stabilant 22A, a product designed for NASA that improves electrical connections at the molcular level. I use it when installing interconnects.

I like spring style feet under speakers. Take out a few springs. I never feel my stands vibrate.

Fuses, silver cables and a Tripp Lite Isobar plug in.

The Tripp Lite does a very good job in fighting thousands of miles of dirty signal.

Speaker cable onnectors do sound different .....so does almost every component has it's own signature ....depends mainly if your system is capable of differciating this sound caracter..and your hearing ...
A person with daltonism should noot pretend that the color does not exist.......but some do.

The better engagement to connect to the msuic is essentilaly due andrelated to the time domain ......

In the nineties we cooked our cables with heavy bass loaded metal music ..........

Low ripple voltage is only part of the equation. How fast the caps can deliver the current is the other part. If the linear power supply has slow caps, the result will be compressed and lack bass.
