I used to work for DDC, great engines. And this driver is clearly very skilled. But American trucks are truly rubbish and do not even come close to European trucks on any parameter/attribute.

These people have let it go to their head. Get mufflers on that noise problem

Pretty cool but sure is making a lot of extra work when it’s not actually a true twin stick and all that can be on a single gear knob. Would be interested to see how he copes when he’s got 60+ ton on the back and he gets in some steep hills and trying to change gears in a hurry.

I drove a 2005 379X cat 400 strait piped beast that was turned up as far as possible, without breaking it. Meaning around 73-75% Or whatever it was. That was one fine walk thru cab and I enjoyed every second of it. It sounded beastly like this'n.

Twin stick, talk about click bait lol. There’s only one shifter going into the trans. The other “stick” is actually hooked up to the splitter valve.

ok maybe a dumb question from a non trucker , but why are the sticks so long ? I mean they are broom handles ! I doubt its for leverage as they seem easy action . Surely it must be more comfortable being in a position like a typical car ?

That is not a true twin stick transmission just replaced the selector switch to a stick.

I expected the steering wheel to be larger and his left arm to be more tanned. Gear sticks are inline with expectations but could benefit from larger knobs.

If I owned that truck, I would install a larger steering wheel and apply some fake tan to my left arm, for health reasons.
