The Imperial Remnant were so much better in the Legends continuity. A bunch of powerful people all trying to take control in the massive power vacuum or breaking off to try and form their own thing is much more like what happens in real life when a powerful Empire breaks down.
ОтветитьI actually like that the empire ends so quickly after Palpatine’s death in canon. It speaks to how evil he was. He either wanted order with him at the center of it or complete chaos to further show his importance. Just like he was the Senate, he was also the Empire.
Ответить"Could be a cool video game..."
EA: "Hmm? Online Multiplayer live service with microtransactions?"
I love how the empire saves the day, helping the new republic defeat the yutzan vong!
ОтветитьI'd like to see the Remnant fight the First Order
ОтветитьFirst Order: W-who are you?
Imperial Remnant: I'm you, but better.
Great why isnt this a movie?
ОтветитьSo im not a fan at all of the new trilogy movies. but for a guy who was big into the legends books, would you guys recommend the new cannon books? are they better than the movies, or atleast hold up to the legends books?
ОтветитьThis sounds really cool 😎
ОтветитьWould that mean Thrawn and the Chimera make a return?
ОтветитьBring back all the warlords. Teradoc, Zsinj, Kaine, Delvardus, all of them. My favorite thing from Legends was the Imperial Civil War. And please give us Pellaeon as a Remnant leader, not just a passing mention in Rebels. If there are any IR holdouts left, it would be cool to see them ally with the Resistance to defeat the FO, as they could see them as too radical a threat to their vision of the New Order.
ОтветитьBasically we have no idea...
ОтветитьI agree that the Galactic Civil War ended too quickly in canon.
ОтветитьI like how tidy the new canon is. Yeah, I said it.
ОтветитьI want to see a story about the imperial remnant directly after jumping into the unknown regions right after the battle of jakku and seeing them try and figure out what to do with themselves and how they became the first order.
ОтветитьI would love a series that explores the Imperial Remnant, perhaps even a group of old Rebel alliance who simply don't like the idea of ramping down the military and go off into the unknown regions or the other new government regions that formed out of the fall of the Empire like Maracavanya, Corporate States, New Separatist Union, and so forth to hunt down the Imperial Remnant or those trying to become war lords.
Would be a great way to explore and establish what most of the universe looks like since we've really only seen some unaligned worlds, New Republic, and First Order territory.
I would love for Shadow Wing to NOT be the 181st. I really want to see a Imperial "Aggressor" Squadron of Ace Pilots that fly X-Wing, A-Wing and E-Wings but with Imperial Roundels and wear open orange Rebel suits over TIE suits with the helmets repainted to look "Rebel". I'd love for Zsinj to return, and I figure his "Raptors" could really be a Mk II Deathtrooper in new armor. Admiral Daala and the Maw Installation need to come back. I'm also a HUGE fan of the SSD Terror and the TIE Phantoms. Commanders Karyn Faro and Woldar need to be part of the Remnant as Commanders who follow in Thrawn's leadership style. I fully suspect the Imperial Remnant is the most professional Navy in the Force Awakens era. It's really the only old symbol they have to cling to, they'll give it they're all. Yularen surviving and acting as a filter to send less-megalomaniac Imperials to the Empire of the Hand, and not the First Order. Have them start the Imperial Knights - what people don't bring up the Remnant would have the Jedi Archives, including Holos on how to train Knights.
Ответить"So we just got a power vacuum with the death of Emperor Palpatine and the treaty is signed but there are still members of the Imperial forces who reject our new policy what should we do?"
"Disarm the military."
"Yes, we will get there once we capture them but what do we do now?"
"No no, disarm our military"
I don't like the idea of the war with the Empire going on for 15 years after Return of the Jedi. It undermines the victory at Endor. It's clear that Lucas's intent was that the Empire is defeated at Endor, so the war should end there or shortly thereafter. This is made even more obvious by the special edition version that shows the entire galaxy celebrating at the end.
The Imperial warlords constantly showing up just goes to show that the old EU could not or would not come up with new villains and didn't want to let go of the Empire as one. Then again the Vong were goofy as hell, and didn't fit in with Star Wars or lore at all, so not much of an improvement there.
That said, there is some great storytelling potential for this Imperial Remnant in the new canon. I don't think we will see much or any of it in TV or movies though.
Oooh, maybe that is where Season Two of Resistance comes in. They pretty much made a jump to anywhere and nowhere. So seeing them take on a few Empire Cells, and possibly even an Old Empire Cell that is about to join the First Order. Since they pretty much have to stay out of the way of everything that happens in Episodes 7-9. That would be a great way to give them a looming threat and still be out of the way of the plot of the last trilogy.
ОтветитьThere was also a remnant in the Core and the Inner Rim that abode by the terms of their surrender, wasn't there?
ОтветитьI still hope to see Bastion as the Imperial stronghold as it was in Original Canon. I just love the planet's description.
ОтветитьQnA: Is it possible that the Colossus is a secret imperial outpost? That would be the answer why it is wanted by the FO.
ОтветитьI would like the majority of imperial remenants to be a neutral faction like the Hutts with their own space zone. And if they ever attack it would be like a cold war.
ОтветитьStill better that the Galactic Civil War ended 1 year after a 5 year war. The Empire was killing itself and ultimately leaderless even without the New Republic pitching in. I’m skeptical about these holdouts that did not receive the Fist Order invite to regroup and hide their base of operations. Like, they can’t just have too much territory in galactic space, so they should adopt guerrilla strategies. And if infighting continues, the New Republic could separate themselves from it. If the remnants strike at the greater galaxy, they will lose, so I hope there is a game plan to this unlike just having battles keep on going over twice as long as the actual war went.
Remnants should sow chaos by having a New Rebellion.
Total headcanon, but I figure you'd have three main remnant groups, the First Order made up of Palpatine's chosen, then there would be the Remnant States which are planets that are still outside of the Republic but are at peace with them, though probably under sanction observation or even occupation by the Republic like Japan in the aftermath of WW2, the rest would be the various warlords and pirate fleets that evolved out of the remains of the Imperial Navy and Army that refused to surrender but never joined up with the First Order which probably cause no small amount of grief to the Republic military. It would also explain why the First Order was able to blitz the galaxy after the attack on Hosnian Prime, they likely would help rally and arm the various remnant groups to attack the Republic and their loyalists.
ОтветитьI loved the imperial remnant in legends. I also feel like the GCW should indeed have continued on way longer then happend in canon
ОтветитьMan id love a tv show about this of how it turned to the first order but we got resistance. So i might make it myself.
Ответить"I am the dark side!" - The Emperor.
ОтветитьCool info, 1 year way to fast. It was too big to happen that fast . But 15 too long. I think 5 or 6 years seems better . Thanks again
ОтветитьI want to see an imperial remanent have a Cold War with the new republic with proxy wars happening across various planets
ОтветитьWould you like to see imperial remnant be hunted by the 1st order in 9, as tgey try to join
ОтветитьI love the idea of the imperial remnants as well as the Emperor having various facilities across the galaxy. Never was a fan of the way the war ended so I’m happy to hear more about the different imperial factions.I’ve made an animated series called Remnants of the Empire. So ya know I’m definitely into the idea. 😁
ОтветитьFirst Order
I want the real Imperial remnant.
Canon Remnant
I said, the real Imperial remnant.
Legends Remnant
Perfection.
They still have room to have Thrawn come back. Even if it they have it before Jakku, they can show him serve as the 2nd to last stand made by the Imperial Remnant before they are wiped out at Jakku (Heck if he gets killed before Jakku they can show the desperation made by the Imperial Remnant to fight it out to the end). He is still out there......and Dave Filoni wants him to come back too.
ОтветитьI think 5 years would have been a healthy fight. Gives us good space keep some of the fighting vague to let later Canon bring in Thrawn maybe. Although that is kind of repeat-y. 5 more years Dragging on also helps really reinforce why Mon Mothma would be so sick of war afterwards
ОтветитьI personally don’t like the idea of the galactic civil war lasting 15+ years like in legends, but I agree that 1 year is too short. Something like 3 years after endor sounds good to me
ОтветитьI still kind of hope that among the Resistance's allies in the Outer Rim is the Imperial Remnant
ОтветитьWe're gonna see them in the Mandolorian
ОтветитьBattle of Jakku isn't cannon for me, its stupid.
ОтветитьI'm sorry that you had to talk about this trash that is a new Star wars canon I just disliked it because this new Star Wars Canon content Cannon contents sucks Disney sucks
ОтветитьI'd love to see a video bout Moff Gideon's remnant. That guy mustve been powerful cuz he had death troopers
ОтветитьIt will be cool that Imperial Remnant will someday came back...
ОтветитьI like the end of the empire both from cannon and legends
ОтветитьWell considering the Republic view the Imperial Reminant as not a threat and dwindling in power (considering what they had I don't think they would be easily vanishing like that with out fights I mean so long without any major engagements when it said it was a power house inside still of the core worlds...make me think more that theImperial reminand is going underground to watch for the right moment. Although it would be more awesome to have the Imperial Reminant and First Order duke it out and the First Order seriously underestiate the Reminant if anything it does appear that all worthy officers sent to the First order are just all more Zeal that Skill. That and I'm pretty sure that even though they said they had thousands of Star Destroyers and by the time for the battle of Jaku only one. That's strange. It's impossible to loose that many inthe scale of 1 year even other factiosn hot hold of star destoryers and such but it would make more sense if the Reminant was descritely sending them somewhere Like somewhere out there is a fleet the size of Legends Black Fleet that's waiting or prepairing for something to happen.
That might be an interesting question could the first order actually beat the black fleet?
Honestly star wars can't screw up the real empire. The one that actually did good in the old canon
ОтветитьFirst Order: you are obsolete and inferior
Imperial Remnant: You are cowards and not true successors
there is this remnant called the Republic Remnant
Ответитьand it was bassicly completely ignored, not even a mention, not even acknoledgment to its existance, just died off in the side lines
ОтветитьAh... The Polynesian Spa...
