AV, thanks for the update on Omniverse. I heard about it a couple months ago and it sounded interesting. I am just trying to understand how this is different than Unreal Engine? Isn't this basically the same thing but with an emphasis on being able to easily import from other software (which unreal can already do yeah?). Trying to figure out the main difference here. Is it the collaboration possibilities? Also, it would be nice to hear your perspective on what you want and what you think would be useful. Also, did you see the Twimotion to unreal tool? That is a game changer for sure.
ОтветитьNice video and I agree with you. I had also a hard time installing Omniverse. But I must say the support (forum) is realy great and fast. I tried to import a SketchUp model with the connector but it does not work at the moment, but they are working on a fix. At the moment it's not replacing Twinmotion on my computer, but I think this software is very promising and there is a lot to come. On the other hand other software are developing too. I think Twinmoting is getting ray tracing soon and Enscape has it already.
ОтветитьI wonder if this explains why epic decided to remove nvidia physx from unreal and implement their chaos physics engine.
They started to move back a while ago.
Not to mention epic started releasing collaboration tools in unreal as well.
I guess epic thought this might be a threat to their adoption and so responded.
I went from SketchUp and then did the Unreal Engine twin motions import and then exported to Omniverse. But since we focus on VR we've been using Unreal for the last 3 years.
ОтветитьJust in time, thank you!
ОтветитьMay I ask you about what the best vectorizing programs are, thank you in advanced!
ОтветитьWill i be able to use it with amd 5700xt card or do i specifically need rtx cards?
ОтветитьThe magic is that you don’t have to end up in Omniverse.... But can use it as a hub to convert to usd and take it back. Usd is the evolution of alembic. True modularity. Not to mention how it handles gigantic datasets . Also, the AI , StImulation capabilities and other specific Nvidia tech bits now have an off the shelf architecture to feed into..It’s a game changer . but I feel u in terms of changing workflow.
ОтветитьIt's not about what Omniverse can do for you as an architect, it's about that client that wants to share his vision with experts from other visual sectors, and have them see changes in real time, manage visual aspects of the project as a collective instead of seperately.
ОтветитьIn order to use Omniverse, do you need a RTX graphics card? Not sure if that's a silly question, but debating which PC to get since I currently have a Mac.
ОтветитьGreat video!
U don't need to change your workflow but get into collaboration.
That's what the Omniverse is all about.
It would be way more helpful if you showed more susinctly what the thing is and shut up a second about your own opinion instead of peppering it through the entire video: people watching this are also architects and can draw their own conclusions with their own workflow in mind. But thanks for the effort
Ответитьgreat video
Ответитьon the paper you talks looks grate.
ОтветитьEnscape is enough for architects if you know what you are doing.
ОтветитьDoes it work with cracked versions
ОтветитьOmniverse sucks
