MTG Standard: Izzet (RU) Midrange vs Junk (BGW) Midrange - Game 2

True story
I was playing a match at school in 1st period, when this guy, who has a very powerful deck as I have heard of, was wanting to play a match against me.
My deck was an izzet deck. So i'm sitting there and I have the best hand the deck could possibly have, so I feel pretty lucky.
In 2 turns, he's got 2 nykthos, some burning tree emmissarry's, and those defender hexproof mana creatures. At turn 4-5, he had 70 open mama, and each turn lasted about 5 minutes, because he would have creatures with constellation making him draw more cards and playing more creatures for more mana. At about turn 8-9 he was swinging for 20+



Then I played his friend later that day, who used green-black and using Strength from the fallen, Commune with the Gods, and weak creatures to swing with over 20 in 4 turns, even after I burned 2 creature and countered another.
