Bronies are infamous to say the very least. Throughout the past 14 years we've seen countless examples of absurdities coming from that community, and in this video, we cover a whole ton of them, as well as diving into what it was like being a child in the Brony community.

Huge Thanks to Tetsuya, Shunks, Lionel Kentler, PixieLocks, AddieHarajuku, Legitness76, Casey Valentine, and Everyone else who came on to help out with this video!

I was deep in the MLP stuff when I was younger (Like 7/8 to like 15 maybe even younger) and I remember seeing almost every video that was shown in here. Since I was a child with a sponge like brain, so much of the content stuck with me. I can't look at many of the characters without just seeing those videos I absorbed as a child pop up in my mind. Sometimes I wish I had restricted internet access...

After fully finishing the video it makes me realize just how deep my issues went and where many of it came from..

Was never a real fan of MLP. Not then and not now. I always considered myself a passive observer. The first time I became aware of what a brony was, was in high school. There was a guy in my digital media class who was obsessed with MLP and at the time I only knew of the previous generations and had some old toys of them. Also keep in mind I grew up in the 90’s so I always know MLP to be a “little girls” then. So it was a surprise for me to see older men get into this new one. By the time I became aware of all the creepypasta shenanigans, I was already in college and didn’t find any of them disturbing since at this point I was well aware of the Internet’s tendency to take something innocent and do something messed up with it. I’m also big into horror, so… Nothing was a surprise to me. But still interesting to watch from afar…

Cupcakes was stupid in my opinion…

When i was a kid i had a facebook page for my pony oc, and there were a shit ton of other kids doing it too. But as you'd guess there were also adults lol.

I was a pretty smart child about internet safety if i do say so, so when some random brony kept sending me messages asking me to send him pics of me I cussed him out in my kid language. As well as two other friends of mine, bc we like co owner the page.

So imagine just being a 30yo brony texting kids and then like 3 of them call u stupid, an idiot, and etc relentlessly for a few days.

i think it is sweet to see a bunch of adults campaigning for a disabled character to be brought back all because she wasn't palatable enough representation to a few adults, as someone with an intellectual disability and an eye condition that does connect me to ditzy in a way. i don't feel comfortable using her original name, but that's just personal preference, i like the rest of her character for what she is

I was 11 years old when the show first premier and I actually really liked it since I was still a kiddo. I enjoyed the show I liked almost all of the characters except for Rainbow Dash. She was really annoying and I did not like her at the time I guess I wasn’t really paying attention to the show because I thought she was a boy don’t ask why I just thought that her voice didn’t help since back then when it came to any boy, they were being voiced by females back then. and with her shaggy hair, I just didn’t know if she was female or male, but yeah, the adult men really fucked it up even throughout my teenage years as the show continued on, I did not like the male friends like yeah there was some that are good, but I just didn’t like The adult men I seen most of the stuff that you talked about with in this video, and it traumatized me throughout the years

I remember all this , I was a “pegs sister” and lord cupcakes and Shed POV ?looking back at it how could we even stomach that as kids/young teens? But this explains why watching horror movies now as an adults the ones who were pegasister and bronies are super desensitized to horror and gore , super screwed but yea.

So Id like to give some insight into the Fluffy Ponies thing; the idea is that there are multiple genres of comics featuring these guys there are abusive ones (like the ones you were talking about) depressing ones (ones where you’re supposed to feel bad for the ponies) weirdcore ones (ones that are just strange and nonsensical) and wholesome ones (ones where the ponies are having a good time and nice stuff is going on). The purpose is that you’re supposed to do a “shot, chaser” kind of thing where you look at a really messed up one and then you look at a wholesome one; is even gets as complex as doing sandwiches based on your sensibilities such as wholesome, depressing, abusive, depressing, wholesome. It is no doubt very strange but I saw the appeal of it back in the day, of course it is in no way something for the faint of heart or younger folks so I feel bad for anyone who saw it as a kid but I just wanted to provide some insight into the purpose of the extremely disturbing fluffy pony comics

I still love MLP, mostly from nostalgia. I miss this show a lot from when I got into it around late grade school. I remember being skeptical about it when my brother showed it to me and said it was really cool, and then loving it probably more than he ever did. I like the songs, the cute characters, and the fun stories. I have a lot of good memories watching MLP and other cartoon shows with my brother. I hate when people make this sort of disgusting, gory content for cartoons or comics. Superheroes, like cartoons, are about escapism. They allow all sorts of extreme slapstick violence without any of the horrific consequences, and I have a strong distaste for when people 'subvert' that because they like to be edgy. The world is bad enough, let people have their little escapes where nothing truly horrific happens. MLP still makes me happy, I still have some cards and figurines from it that I like to take out and look at every now and again. Nostalgia for a better time I guess, I can at least mostly forget when I stumbled across the messed up stuff online.

Hearing Rainbow Factory again was not something I thought I would appreciate?!? I was such a MLP kid, and now as a young adult I still sometimes go and watch eps for comfort. And the call out for little miss rarity?!? Shit man the things you can forget.

Guess it’s time to go draw some ponies I guess

I enjoyed MLP as a kid and got back into it as a young teen though I was never in deep enough to be part of the fandom or see any of this content other than hearing about them in passing. However when I was around 11 'Run the gauntlet ' was going around school. Some highlights I remember are a guy putting a glass up his arse and it shattering, a girl licking smegma, snuff films of a beheading and teens murdering a man, and a truck of dogs who had been skinned who were still alive and whining in pain (this on still haunts me nearly a decade later)

So happy my wee sister seems to have been spared from this content

Hope y'all are alright

I still remember when my friends at the time came to my house and was like “Oh have you seen this my little pony video?!” And I wasn’t even a fan so I of course said no but then actively tried to stop my friend from showing me Smile. She wouldn’t fucking listen and basically forced me to go watch it. I wish I could scrub it from my mind😭

Of course I think childen should be supervised while being on the internet. Duh. I just hope that when parents do that they don't stop children from accessing actual informative content because they think it's "sinful" or goes against their beliefs. Like how many parents in America wouldn't love to restrict children's access to lgbtia+ content and communities? Obviously I don't want children to see actual pornographic content or gore. But I also know that there are some very vulnerable lgbtia+ children out there who can only find a safe community online.

It's all just freaking sad and scary man.

Honestly, all things considered, the fact that adult men were in fact able to unironically like a My Little Pony show, of all things, just goes to show that a quality show is a quality show. And also...cutesy "girl shows" don't seem to be made with quality all that often. It's like that kind of audience is just taken for granted by most big creators.

Honestly, I never saw the issue with the content when I was little. The reason being was I was completely mentally ill, unmedicated and going through a lot of domestic abuse. For the longest time I thought people were just being soft and that it wasn’t as big of a deal as they were making it out to be. If people were concerned about what their kids were watching… just monitor it. Then my cousin reached the very age that I started consuming that content. Needless to say, it changes your world and makes you reflect the darkest parts of yourself that were damaged by the recklessness of other internet users. Thank you for making this video. I loved listening to it and reminding myself to remain vigilant and continue to watch for signs that my cousin might be displaying
