Beginner: How to turn single crochet with a chain - chapter 1

There are a lot of ways to turn and start a new row. I want to compare them. Just test them a but. So I picked three turns that I have seen a lot “out there” online. I did all three samples with 20 stitches and 20 rows. Same yarn but with a different color for every type of turn.

This is the first one.
The turn is done with a chain.

The last single crochet is completed. Then chain one. Turn the work. Start the next row with a single crochet in the first single crochet.

It gives a slightly uneven edge - but it is nice and flexible.
