It took me some time to understand the emotions I felt upon listening to this.
There's the high crescendo - the music at the moment when Malcolm unmasks himself - that let's us know who its about. But then there's the beginning and the end, that few seconds of what sounds like Christmas piano tones. An almost childish and relaxed quality - which fit perfectly to the rest when you understand what they signify: innocence and happiness of an ordinary, if rich, man.

A man who had a family, until his wife, his great love, was taken from him, and his pain, turned into hatred, made him take a journey of empowerment - while slowly turning him bitter and vengeful.
