HOW TO BUILD A WORKBENCH FOR GARAGE / DIY Garage Workbench and Shelves

Just finished building this workbench. Great design! Affordable, easy to build, and it goes up in no time. I just built an 8 ft section to see if I liked it now I’m going to wrap the rest of my garage in the bench. Thanks!

What size lag screws did you guys used for the studs? Im at home depot trying to find them

How many 2x4’s total was needed for the work bench?

Would be more work but…. Could have pulled osb board and blocked in where that top shelf goes for more screws.

Advice, never put wood in contact with a concrete floor. moisture in concrete causes wood to rot.

do you have any issues with moisture coming from concrete and potentially rotting out the wood that sits on the floor?

Great project. I use screws so I can take apart easily when I get another idea what would be better. And I don’t use horizontal runner on the floor. Just legs in front so I can clean the garage easily. Also poly the top to prevent staining.

I found that if you use an actual purpose made hammer drill to drill holes in concrete for Tapcons work so much better. Using the drill bit they provide in a drill/hammer drill just doesn’t work

Getting ready to build shelving and a work bench and loved this plan and video. Quick question. My garage wasn't drywalled and I live in the south. Building would be easier without the drywall but visually it's not the same. What are your thoughts?

Quick question. Heard you used 70 2x4s and some plywood. Do those 2x4s include the shelving that goes over fridge

Nice set up. I’d highly recommend a 3/4” MDF overlay with white Formica, if ya ever add a finish to it, for the countertop and some edging. I feel like ply wood is kinda rough and “bouncy”. Thanks for the video.
