You also get curse from the statue at the beginning after you kill that characters past

Btw its very hard to get a black chest drop

Fuses can be put out with any gun/item that can put liquid on the ground. Poison or water or oil.

my only tip is,
if you ever see a full metal jacket thing BUY IT ,
you wont even need hearts/armor you only buy blanks which are much cheaper

10 curse =grim reaper he follows you and trys hitting you and he will make any shop close when he enters it

Just so everyone knows. NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER REACH 10 CURSE.
that "special thing" is so dangerous even the shopkeeper is afraid of it and closes his shop if it happens and you are in the shop.

Yeah i figured it wasn't really just rng trying to dick you over like the Binding of isaac, its much much worse... the entire game tries to stunt your progress to try artificially inflate it's own difficulty.

I'm playing this on Ps4 and I'm astounded I didn't play this years ago when I first saw it. This vid helped so much in understanding the mechanics of certain and extremely important aspects of this game.

Theory: curse is based off of rage
Convict rage ability generates the black aura
Smiley/Shades also gets the aura



This would also mean that some items (yellow chamber casey etc) are sentient

When you get 10 curse it spawns a boss that tries to kill you and follows you between rooms and floors and is invincible

I think they should remove magnificence or tune it down a lot cause getting a run where you get an absurd amount of good stuff would be rare but fun as hell

So, the magnificence exist for making the game harder or easier?

Sooo, about magnificence. Say i picked a A or S item and then i read it's description and/or used ot before, but it's thrash anyway, can the downgrade percentage be set back to 0% again if i drop it?

Also, about coolness. How does that work exactly? Do you have to clear rooms without any cursed items, and/or don't receive any damage?

Please clarify me on these two stats, because im so confused.

I tried to go in a cursed run...it was painful not because of the cursed bosses or mobs...so many good items and guns...

That magnificence stat is BS, mainly that it is way to high of a reroll chance!

Curse also increases the chance for bulletkin, shotgunkin, sniperkin and the like to be veterans

Two things:
1) You must have at least 1 curse in order to use the mirror that rarely spawns as it takes you to the "Black Market". You can't use the mirror without at least 1 curse.
2) You can get (essentially) infinite coolness with the Crisis Stone and the Cigarettes. Every time you reload with the Crisis Stone you are briefly invulnerable to all damage. Every time you use the Cigarettes you take a half heart of damage for +1 coolness. Essentially, you trigger a reload of your starter weapon and then immediately use a Cigarette and repeat until satisfied.

Does coolness affect the frequency of your passive bullet upgrades?

This game is fun, but so very frustrating. I'm at around 200 deaths and haven't gotten past floor 3. Now I find out that there's all this hidden stuff the game never mentions, including that I get kicked in the shins for picking up rare guns?

I imagine that it's meant to keep you from getting god runs, but I think it wouldn't be too bad if that happened once every 100 deaths or so just to keep players from feeling totally discouraged

trust me, i have gotten 10 curse a bunch. what happens when you get 10 curse is very good and wont make runs 1000% harder :)
