Im sure it’s been said, but I’ll add another to that list. This is the greatest Star Wars channel full stop no cap bussin bombastic mondo groovy splendid demure premium splendiferously
ОтветитьThe issue with Palpatine is that he was in extremely boring films that didn't show his scheme clearly, and he was extremely campy when his villainous nature was finally revealed. That's a big part of the great appeal of Clone Wars, is that you actually got to see his plan in action. Even as an ardent Star Wars fan, I consider Dooku and Plagueis (who wasn't even on screen) far better and more interesting villains than Palpatine.
ОтветитьI wanna bury Star Destroyers...
Ответитьi fucking love star wars
ОтветитьAre you fucking kidding me!?!? He's not even the best star wars villain.
ОтветитьIs palpatiene even evil? I mean life for the average person was better under his government. He kept all his political promises (more than you can say about most real politicians) and really did bring peace to the galaxy at large.
ОтветитьYou forget the 3 unexpected movies and the comics, Sideous is too grand for Kino critics
ОтветитьBro he’s literally trump
ОтветитьPalpatine is my favorite villain of all time. Not just in movies. Period. (The sequel trilogy is not him and I will not count it against him).
I think one of the reasons he gets overlooked is there's this idea among people that the only good villains are the "hero of their own story" type. The understandable, the sympathetic, etc. Certain groups tend to overlook at just how effective an evil villain who relishes in his own evilness can truly be. Not every villain needs to be relatable. Sometimes, a psychopath with immense cunning, power, and an ability to chew the scenery like a gourmet dinner is all you need for a good villain. And even on that front, Palpatine excels. Palpatine is the perfect mixture of writing and acting. You already have his brilliant planning, manipulations, and performances (in the political sense). Then you combine that with McDiarmind's impeccable acting, able to both handle Palpatine at his most subdued, his most patient, just waiting...for the chance to take off the mask and go absolutely ham, finally being able to openly enjoy just how much fun he's having being one of the most evil (and successful) villains of all time. When script and performance combine, you get villain perfection.
Ian McDiarmid said actually that Palpatine/Sidious is more evil than Lucifer/Satan because the latter “has a history, and its a fall; [Palpatine] has no history”
ОтветитьBringing balance to the force inevitably means destroying the Jedi order. There’s always two on the dark side.
ОтветитьYour channel is so good. You have a great writer's touch to your words, I hope you keep growing your channel and find time to make more of this content! Subscribed
ОтветитьOn one side, you have the Republic and the Clones led by Sheev Palpatine. On the other side, you have the Confederacy and the Droids led by Sheevino Palpatino.

I don't know, Davros was pretty good... and came earlier...
compare the white daleks vs the knock off white... stormtroopers
The most messed up part is that Palpatine didn't go through imme se trials and tribulations that broke him. He was just a young man who decided to murder his family based on the promises of gaining power.
ОтветитьThere is one more reason why Sidious is the worst:
most of masters, even evil ones, when reflecting upon failed, but gifted, deceased apprentices, they think how somehow it's their fault it happened and do not insult their memory out of respect and even affection.
Sidious on the other hand was different, every single apprentice after their deaths he openly disgusted, blaming them for their "betrayals and weaknesses" after treating them like dirts all that time:
- he called Maul a not-good-enough, foolish idiot, who deluded himself he was cunning
- he called Dooku a proton torpedo, discarded when no longer useful, who deluded himself he was a true Sith and someone who mattered
- he called Vader a sick man in an iron mask with a feeble heart
“even for non-disney movies”
shows more disney movies
One of the most ironic lines uttered by Palps to young Anakin: "we will watch your career with great interest." Palps was the master of hiding in plain sight, just like Gustavo fring from Breaking Bad.
ОтветитьI agree ONLY if we forget the three new star wars movies.
ОтветитьBeautiful ending to a beautiful video!
ОтветитьLucas has a flawed understanding of politics to begin with and so the story revolving around his opinions is what makes his continuation of the story as prequels not very good. I personally disagree with camilia as I do with her other takes as well, for what it is if those are your world views I understand the interest, if you don't then it's something different.
ОтветитьSatan wich is the greatest enemy of humanity is a human itself
Ответить“…an arrogant religion, who get ahold of the Messiah, and then accidentally hand him over to the Devil.”
Wow. This is a grade A analysis. 👏🏽
The GOAT term that has lost it's true meaning Thanks to this Generation.
Ответитьyeah, until the sequels were made, id say you were right.
But they made three dogshit movies that absolutely ruing the character arc of literally every single character in SW. Even palpatine was turned from a great villan, into a husk of some loser with really no meaning in any way whatesoever.
The sequel trilogy is basically Palpatine's long term plan being revealed to have a few extra steps, but then is ultimately foiled by the power of friendship.
ОтветитьI couldn't agree more
Ответить“The prequels are the story of an arrogant religion who get a hold of the messiah & accidentally hand him over to the Devil” is 1 of the most brilliant encapsulations of Star Wars I’ve ever heard. A brilliant child left vulnerable without parents, gifted to the world with a purpose; only to be fucked over by people too blinded by ego & envy. Almost a microcosm of both history & the world we live in today 💯💯💯
Ответитьa renaissance painting of judgment day, that's it! that is the description I have been searching for years now! It hits my feeling of this movie perfectly and it explains why I love the essence of it so much. Gotta love a good renaissance painting of judgment day!
ОтветитьUmmm no, he was quite pathetic. Vader was much better that this loser.
ОтветитьSome people play chess while others play checkers.
ОтветитьImagine if George made the prequels first, in that case it would be the original trilogy. We would have watched Revenge of the Sith before the episodes 4,5,6 and that would have made it far more tragic to see the downfall of the Jedi and the Republic.
ОтветитьNah
ОтветитьHe truly is the greatest villain ever
ОтветитьI am 100% convinced Star Wars falling to Disney and their woke propaganda was part of Palpatines plan.
ОтветитьPalpatine was the only Sith to ever understand. It wasn't flashy displays of force power and lightsabers that would lead the Sith to victory, but corrupt, mundane politics.
ОтветитьI have a hard time accepting palpatine as the best villain ever when he's not even the best villain in his own movie
ОтветитьEmperor Palpatine is like a Dungeon Master, but a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
ОтветитьHehehehehehehe GOOOOOOOOOOD 👹😈
stand with Palpatine 😂 the empire was right 😈
He wasn't on the list because people voted for ones with redeemable qualities. Ones they swooned over. Palps was too evil for a list of villains. There's a reason the HISHE crew made him the leader of all movie villains.
ОтветитьAll very good but... that one: NOOOOOOOOOO! It was very embarrassing.
That's why this movie is in balance with the Force, half very good and half very bad.
