Hi and, Hahahahaha! Stop please to give good advertising or publicity, to fake 10 000 Mah 18650 battery.
We all know, that by 18650 lithium, is impossible to create 10 000 Mah. fake advertising give max of 1200-1700 Mah. So to compare it, fake advertising 10 000 Mah. Weigh smaller in Gramm. So to Panasonic or Samsung, weigh Correct 45 Gramm for 18650 Mass weigh.
Is fully impossible to realise more Mah with this Calliber. The 32700 LIFePo it Possible to 6600-7000 Mah.
So with calculating 32mm diameter and 18mm Diameter, so to give half of power, it lack of 14mm diameter.
And it should are Lithium not other metal chemistry.
To have possibility to reach the 10 000 Mah Range. here the size should are bigger in Diameter, to permit to wrap more lithium foil on diameter surface on Full Battery!.
Make Try with you'r two battery, the account of Mah Charging full. 4.2 Volt.

and you;re rightl you cant go wrong with panasonic or samsung, theres a reason their 3400 mAh batterys cost 5 times the cheapy chinese 6000 and 9000 mAh cough rubbish, panasonic from memory master in 18650's and the best that can be got is, as you showed around 3400 mAh, it is impossible to get more out of them with this chemistry and size, no matter what those amazing chinese companies try fake you......

That said, those 2 dollar 1100mAh chinesey 18650's are fine for casual standby torches

Hi, I have been following your channel irregularly for about 6 months or so. I recently purchased four 18650 li-ion cells. The order shows 4 ea GTL 12000 mah batteries @$7.50 each. What I received were 4 ea Samsung INR18650-30Q batteries with no mah capacity listed the only other markings were SDI 136. From watching your video, I have deduced that I was totally misled about the capacity of any cells I bought, but it appears that I received a fair product for the price I paid. I also bought a BMAX 4 slot universal Smart Charger for $9.15 (there was no shipping charged for any of these items. This is my first venture into the world of 18650. Thank you for the videos which would have been very informative if I had seen them first

The trend of weight test went popular, then guess what, what they did. They started filling it up with sand, as a cheapest weight gaining material.

This is why I don’t buy Chinese 18650. They will put a bunch of crap on the label and sell it. I bet the 18650’s in my 7 year old B and D battery will do much better than this “10,000” mah battery.

GTL, Ultrafire. Are rated at 9900mah when tested is 1000 mah. Light as a feather when compared to a Samsung 18650.

Are you familiar with the LADDA 2450mAh NiMH batteries from IKEA. I want to use them in my Yaesu FT-817 ham radio as a replacement for the stock dead ni-cad pack. I have read some good reviews because the current rating is higher than the stock battery. Will like to see you test this battery against others

Superb. I trust you. I need 18650's @ about 3500 mAh for my vaping mods (Vaporesso and Geek Vape Aegis) which I never run above about 15 watts. Both take two rechargeable 18650 batteries. The ones I have are from LithiCore: 3500 mAh, 3.7 V, 10A continuous discharge current (whatever that means). Is this a good brand? Do you have a video where you just tell us which 18650's are best, most reliable, longest lasting, etc? That would be most helpful. Thanks again.

Cheating is NOT limited to WILD claims either. Many brands that do cheat do so by trying to appear like reputable brands claiming high, but otherwise possible milliamphour ratings.. I saw some 6600 mAH- sure enough, those tested out at 1100 mah. Then there are those that look more reasonable..Two brands - one claiming 3000 mAH and the other claiming 3400 mAH - both averaging about 1600 to 1700 mAH. These batteries are aimed at those that realize anything over 3500 mAH is really bogus to begin with.

If you want a reputable brand- stay off from Amazon, and find a reputable brand from a reputable seller. Amazon is not it.

This is an excellent video and sooo educational. I'm a bicyclist and I've switched from the cased lights with the battery and the light as a single unit, to one where you can remove the batteries. I wasn't as familiar with the types and got a 2600 mah by luck. I also bought one that was 9900 mah and didn't really know that that was a joke. The 9900 didn't last for a year and there was a big difference in the weight. I'm now using 3600 mah and the difference in those and the 2600 mah are night and day. I can see a huge difference in the length of power time with the full bright on. I WISH that I'd seen this video before. None the less thanks for the upload!

I dont get it, why do they exaggerate so much, if they claim 3600mah not so much become aware of it.

I find it funny how the Chinese often demonstrate naivety, particularly when they believe that simply labeling a product as "10000 mAh" or "20 terabyte flash drive" will guarantee its sales. However, the truth is that most consumers aren't easily deceived. Employing a more accurate labeling strategy or even a slight embellishment could result in significantly higher profits.

As of today (March 29 2024) the highest capacity of 18650 cell has 3600mAh
If you see anyone claim higher than that then we know it's fake .

Awesome demonstration of how we're getting ripped off! Was just researching THISS cells from my Porter Cable packs that I picked up on Amazon and came across this. Thank you! Now I know what to buy to rebuild my stuff. Luckily for me, mine lasted a few years before they crapped out so I got what I paid for lol.

Thank you for such a great and comprehensive video. Going to call out a product I recently tested in the amazon store and returning. Its a black and green battery boasting 9900 mAh, shows to be a registered brand for CBJJ, well if its sounds too good to be true believe me it is too good to be true Don’t waste your time or money on these batteries. At best from a 12 pack of them you will find one that will have an 1100 mAh rated battery. I found the Japanese batteries to be best. For accuracy or close to it. LG or Samsung as well as Panasonic.
