AHSOKA Episode 1 Breakdown, Thrawn, Anakin Skywalker and The Mandalorian Star Wars Easter Eggs

What people may not have put together is Starkiller’s name isn’t “Starkiller.” Starkiller was the force sensitive son of fugitive Jedi Kento and Mallie Marek. His real name is Galen Marek.
Can we just take a moment to consider how similar “Marek” and “Marrok” are. Could it be that the Inquisitor Marrok is a finally canonized Starkiller?

I just loved seeing all the animated characters in live action

I just watched the first…double episode and have to say it was very disappointing. The Ahsoka character seems to be the only one that’s grown up or matured since the Rebel years. The Sabine character is overplayed as a whiny teen with mommy issues as opposed to a rebel alliance Commander. The flamboyant, order disobeying, supposed Mandalorian just doesn’t fit in live action. What can I say…very disappointing so far. The sad thing is I can’t see it getting any better for this season.

The opening ship looks a lot like a Mon Calamari ship. The crew is wearing some of the familiar uniforms from the original series but the swivel chair looks like the same one Admiral Akbar used in the return of the Jedi.

So many great Easter eggs so it’s hard to choose just one! The Loth cats are definitely my personal favorite though 🐈

I hope we get more Knight Sister stuff. And I hope we get more action and less stoicism from all the actors.

As a first-timer to anything Rebels, this was a nice start.

I'm enjoying the look of the characters, I like seeing Ahsoka in action, I like the tone of the show and I'm digging the music.

The story is going to be an intriguing one, for sure. I'm really interested in seeing how this series, possibly, sets up the Dave Filoni Mandoverse movie.

Also, Godspeed, Ray Stevenson. May the Force be with him and his family.

The prison ship bridge strayed so much from the feel of Star Wars. It felt like a Star Trek Federation ship. The camera panning along the side of the prison ship was very much out of a Star Trek movie; in Star Wars they usually pan the top or bottom of the ship and make the frame small to emphasize vastness of ship.
The decoding the map scene and finding the map scene seemed more Tomb Raider style than Raiders style.

Are we still not talking about Thrawn looking like a blue Elon Musk?

Sabine is not force sensitive,the droid even said so.Ashoka trained her because shes a great fighter and she could be much better fighter if shes fighting as a jedi.

I was hoping that you can address that in the intro to Episode 2, where the helmets were lit in either blue or red, assuming that blue means good, and red means baddie. Marrok's helmet is lit BLUE, and Sabine's is lit RED. Erik Voss has a theory that Sabine is really a nightsister! Could blue mean that Marrok is really a good guy, and possibly Ezra?

My favorite Easter egg was the collective consciousness of the HK droids when they said “Us” because the delay in them saying that makes me think they’re being influenced from far away on Sitos. Feels like Ashoka looking for the map was something that Thrawn accounted for and stationed the droids there in case she arrived and unlocked the map. They say “Us” only once they see Ashoka which could be a clue that they’re individual only once alerted by Jedi presence

Can someone give me a quick summary on Star Wars lore? I want to watch this, purely due to how stylized and vibrant it looks and feels but i just cant be bothered to watch to xyz amount of movies and abc amount of animated series. I get their power system and shit but what is all this talk about the republic and empire?

I didn’t like the weak unlocking of the map. The droid said it had some sort of lock or encryption on it so the set up was more that they needed a key or code.
Then she seemed to be thinking about it a lot when stole it which was fair enough but Asoka was then like I’m so surprised she ran off like she never knew her though they talked about knowing each other
Then to open it it was just a puzzle rubix cube and not really a key just knowing how many times to turn it. Felt a bit sloppy set up they could have changed with a few words and why Asoka wasn’t more urgent and worried.

I really loved rebels so seeing this basically as a sequel to it makes me very happy. Im hoping they eventually mark the last trilogy as like a legends type thing and do anymore accurate continuity seeing as they're doing heir to the empire and hinted at the yuuzhon vong

I just binged the first 7 episodes in preparation of the finale this Wednesday. And I got to say, I'm a bit underwhelmed. I had begun hearing buzz about episode 4 being big etc, but I was still underwhelmed. So many of the episodes just seemed to feature Rosario Dawson with like a supermodel pose look on her face. I'm presented with the same feeling the befell the Book of Boba Fett. He was so much better in the Mandalorian than his own show, same can be said of Ahsoka. Maybe episode 8 will blow me away but right now with it obviously being set up for a season 2, I'm not optimistic.

Its rare for a main character to pop off screen to grab a drink. Dont recall anyone do that before.
