It’s probably just me but I actually really like the designs of these oem cards. They are very sleek and not overdone like most traditional aib cards

i kind of wish we saw some game testing on this card. (FPS, comparisons to other 3090, and older, etc)

i got those Dell rtx 3090 like 50% off on online marketplace said than been used for 2 years straight. 😢Sadly with old never replace thermal paste and no cantacted VRAM module to spread the heat . Guess the thing you get within th price😂. 😅

just goes to show the engineers are the one hurted the most in Dell, they make amazing products, but are held back by greedy financial teams and absolute trash of the upper lead.

I have a Dell RTX 3090 Ti, there isn't much information about it on the internet, it has a triple fan shroud and the heatsink is quite larger than the one in the video, but it's pretty quiet and barely makes any noise at all at full load. I was a little worried about using an OEM GPU but looks like the heat dissipation is pretty solid, just a little worried about the quality control standards... Hopefully when it fails the RTX 4090 will be cheaper by then...

I think the heatpipe was meant to go over the third memory module, as well. It was later shortened for some reason so they had to use different height pads.

I found one, but the temperature of the memory gpu hits the 100° Celsius. Is it worth to buy or not, thanks.

The reason why Dell RTX 30 series graphics card are not that bad is because they are all build by MSI.

trying to watch this at work to determine if our sh!t tell gpu's are just that, but the sound is inconsistent as heck. Whispers and then screams. Everyone in the office is wondering what i'm doing as the sound is so inconsistent

When prices dropped on the used market, october 2022, I got a Dell 3080 for $450 in great shape. I really like the card. It's well built, and with the latest bios and the "thermal paste on the vram plate by the gpu core trick" (that you didn't mention in your video probably because you weren't aware of it yet) that lowers vram temps down to 90c, It's at least as good as any other well built reference 3080.

Is it worth haggling for $400 tho?

My RX 6700xt came from a dell Alienware. Thank God someone rescued that card and offered it for sale, and at a pretty good price
No extraneous stifling backplate, decently high performance, and pretty minimal outside of the heat sink and pretty good fans. My PC has never been quieter, honestly

Dell 3080 has the same design. Memory temps during summer are 84-88c. People may hate it but the design is really good.

I might be 2 years too late but I just noticed there's a code at the pci connector that said ms v388. That is basically an MSI Gaming X Trio board. Well in this case, dell decided to use a 2 fan solution instead of the 3 that msi employ.

It’s because that line of video cards was designed to go into precision workstations, hence their specific size and tail bracket mounts. Dell has hardware contracts with the DoD and other government entities so that hardware also needs to meet DoD reliability standards. Much like a 10 year old T3600 is still going strong today on all the original components.

huh, I've got the 3080 version which has more or less the same cooler. Strangely enough on my 3080 the backplate heatpipe is longer, long enough to touch 3 sides of the memory leaving only the chip near the PCIe connector without any heatpipe contact

maybe the back heatpipe was supposed to come around the 3rd stack of vram but they somehow fcked it

These Dell cards are actually quite sought after for their size (along with the few Blower 3090s Nvidia forced AIB's to discontinue). Usually at least 150-200 more than a FE or a regular AIB model. The blower ones go for insane money. Often 4090 money.

It's a pity that you didn't check and provide the height of all thermopads, because it seems from above that they are smaller than 1.5 mm and higher than 1 mm. I'm looking for this information and there is no clear answer on the Internet. I'm ordering 1.25mm, I suspect these will be correct

Watching this video because I came across a 3080 ti Dell OEM gpu on jawa from jawa store. Never bought OEM components and wanted to see if it's a good idea to purchase it. Price is really good at 375 USD.

So I bought a pos digital storm pc and it looks like they shoved one of these in the build. I took the water block off because no coolant was circulating through it. The Model Number on the card says MS-V388. Can you confirm this is indeed the same Dell card? Also, do you know of a waterblock compatible with this card and where to buy it?

My recently bought 2ea of the 2080 super for 220.00ea is built similarly at first glance that is sold with Lenovo name on brown box build date of 8 29 2021 generic brown box manufactured for them it says unit reads in gpu z as MSI pn 4x61a22496, in my Dell 3630 it runs watching live 1080p streams at 100 degrees hot spot is always almost 20 degrees hotter difference. It is paired with a i9-9900k added 2 120mm fans, ordered 2 slim design 120mm to put between grill & chassis a standard is a bit too thick.
