Appreciate your response, Chris, but that link didn't work. I'll keep trying, but if you have a correction, please post it here. Thanks.
ОтветитьHow are those of us doing who have F can’t get off because of underwriting.
ОтветитьCongrats Chris!
ОтветитьDo people on Advantage Plans still have to pay the Part B monthly cost of $174.70 in 2024? I'm confused. If that is the case how is an Advantage plan and advantage? Does the Advantage plan pay the Part B cost? I have Plan N and am staying with that, but my neighbor is lobbying me to switch to an Advantage plan. Not happening as long as I can afford the Plan N.
ОтветитьWe have plan G and yes, premiums have gone up yearly. We are very happy with this plan though. When we started we didn't expect illnesses down the road. Now, my husband has many issues and we are blessed we picked G! Thanks for the info and happy anniversary!
ОтветитьMy wife has cancer which is spread through her body but is stable and is on SSDI. She get's her Medicare next April what Suppliment Insurance should she get Christopher. Thanks Mitch
ОтветитьWishing you a wonderful anniversary this year and many more down the road!
ОтветитьEasy to say in your State, Chris. It's $0 or $70. But in my State it's between $60 for Hd or $360. Big difference.
ОтветитьHappy Anniversary to you and your significant other, an many more years to come, many blessings to your family. I will be in touch I will be next to applying for my Medicare.
ОтветитьPlan F is the best
ОтветитьI chose Plan G. While you are correct that today only 2% of providers charge excess chargers, but when you a buy a plan you are most likely locked into that plan for life (obviously you can move to another state). And what I was concerned about is while I’m 2022, when I had to choose my supplement, excess charges are not an issue, I have - and you have - no idea if that looks very different in 2033.
I made the same decision for my insurer. I picked UHC because 1. It has the strongest financials (A+ at AM Best), and is by far the largest insurance company, Medicare supplement and MA included, in the US. So when I think about rate stability and being strong financially in 10+ years from now, that matters more than saving $10 a month on premiums.
Thoughts as to my logic?
I will be getting plan G for sure.
Ответитьwhat states do not allow doctors to charge the excess not covered by medicare?
ОтветитьThis crap is so confusing. And honestly, I'm not going to worry about it. I had cancer 5 years ago, was insured by my company health insurance and I just happened to work for that Healthcare organization. On day 1, they had every doctor that would be on the team come and meet with me one at a time. They ALSO had a representative for some cancer organization and a business rep who was assigned to help me navigate the financial side of things. They immediately determined what my insurance would not pay and began the application process for financial assistance. When it was all said and done, I paid out of pocket 700.00 for a 40,000 surgery and whatever it cost for several radiation treatments, and doctor bills. Cancer is a high dollar money maker for medical facilities and doctors. They will certainly take what they can get out of you and your insurance company, BUT they ALSO know they can't take what you don't have. The more you have, the more they are going to take.
ОтветитьWhere can i get more info on cancer plans?
ОтветитьWhat about HD- G? Seems like a good idea if you have cash to cover the deductible.
ОтветитьDoes the Mayo Clinic in Arizona charge the Excess Charges at their facility? What about any of the other Cancer facilities in Arizona, do they charge the Excess Charges?
ОтветитьThank you for explaining g and n differences on premium. Turning 65 in January and wasn’t sure which one to go with, you just helped me make up my mind, again thanks for your help.
ОтветитьDoes the underwriting questions apply to someone who is Plan F and wants to get on plan G in NYS?
ОтветитьToo much to learn too complicated.
We need just free health care.
What is your opinion of Plan L overall?
ОтветитьBut plan a is only for people that are a certain age
ОтветитьI would note that at least one large Medicare Supplement provider in my state does provide a discount of 5% forever for signing up online via their site thereby bypassing commissioned independent agents.
However, at least in my state, if you select that option and have a question about almost anything related to the plan (such as "If I move from state/county X to state/county Y, do I keep my plan and, if so, is my premium then based on X or on Y?") you're not getting an answer directly -- they will route you to an agent who will try to sell you something (in my case they pushed hard on a "cancer plan" which makes no sense to me as any benefit paid out would be "in the noise" of my overall financial situation).
It is all purposefully made so complicated so seniors and everyone else can’t see or understand how the insurance companies grift the public and lobby Washington to set up this way. Most people know this.
ОтветитьThank you for the reminder of why I chose to depend on Senior Savings Network and recommend it to anyone who will listen.
ОтветитьPlease let me know, what is a “five letter organization“?
ОтветитьHi Chris, I am on Humana is there a way I can get a better plan here in Oklahoma?
ОтветитьDude, with the boss family! Right on!!!
ОтветитьCan we switch supplemental companies anytime like Supplemental plans?
ОтветитьPLAN F ?
Ответитьneed your help just sign up to Humana no cost money go back on my s o s did i make a mistake IM worried
ОтветитьHigher-income retirees will gravitate to Plan G as they pay the premium to transfer the risk to an insurance company.
ОтветитьREALLY GET TO THE POINT
ОтветитьBelated Congratulation, you have a wonderful family, thanks for introducing us to them.
ОтветитьSo your saying pick the one with more people in them ?
And when you talk with them will they tell you this ?
I’m new just started my a and b this year in October do I need to do this in Tennessee?
Thanks for this.
ОтветитьAre “excess charges” more likely in expensive urban areas like NYC? Thank you.
ОтветитьApril 2024 I need to sign up for Medicaid A/B with plan G, I'm a fully recovered stroke patient x3 and currently in good health but GOD never gifted me with his christal ball and figured A/B-G would be my best fit. Am I wrong? Washington State
ОтветитьHappy Anniv!!
ОтветитьHappy Anniversary You care, it's your biz, it's your life, its' why you are so blessed.
ОтветитьThanks again. I'm trying to absorb this all, and you make it clea, but, the confusion always seeps back in, The entire system seems designed to confuse and hide viatl info. I'd be lost without you.
ОтветитьI thought plan D was strickly for meds
ОтветитьThank you Chris. You've helped me understand so much. Happy Belated Anniversary!
ОтветитьGreat video with excellent information. I heard that with United Health care AARP you can have plan K and be able to switch to plan G at anytime without going to underwriting.... This way you can avoid the high deductible but you will have to pay the premium. Is this true? It sounds too good to be true.
ОтветитьGreat family. 😊😊😊
ОтветитьPersonally I wouldn't touch an Advantage plan with a ten foot pole. I looked at N and G, and decided on a high deductable G plan. I'm a high earner and have a life-long disability, but am very healthy (on no drugs, good blood pressure, etc). My thought is I have the money for the deductible in savings. If I have an expensive health event, the $3500 deductible and monthly small premium is less than paying the low deductible premium. Plan N didn't have the coverage I require.
Everyone has to make the choice best for their health situation.
PLUS -- everyone should be aware the insurance agents get a LOT MORE MONEY/COMMISSION putting you on an Advantage plan. The insurance companies want to rope you into those plans, where their goal is not to take care of you, but pay as little as possible for your care. They are being paid a fixed amount for you by the government, so their corporate goal is to pay as little as they can.
No way would I want to wait for a F**King "approval" for my treatment from the insurance company or have to only take who is in network. None of us knows what our health issues will be. If I get cancer, I want to go to the best practitioner, not the cheapest guy who will take the Advantage plan.
My opinion. Look for the corporate incentive.
What about Plan F? It checks all of the boxes. Even better than G?
ОтветитьOR if you live in a guarantee issue state like NY or CT.
ОтветитьCongratulations on 22 years. We will be celebrating our 48 year
