Yes, the woman at the well was a Samaritan but she could also be considered a gentile since she was not fully Jewish.
Just as God considered Israel to be His wife (made from the nation He created from Abraham) - the lost World could be considered to be married to the world super powers that controlled the nations throughout history.

Heres an idea. Maybe Jesus never said or did the majority of things attributed to him - as most virtually all modern scholars believe - in the gospel of John. Maybe consider that this was all written to distance Jesus from the religious, pharasaic Jews who were his first and true followers. James, Peter, John all religious Jews. Hi. I'm a scientific Theist. Your account is overly confused. There's a down-to-earth cultural explanation for Jesus' knowledge of "the woman at the well". A widowed Jewish woman was expected to marry her oldest brother-in-law, who had a duty to comply. If that brother died, she was taken up by the next oldest brother, and so on until she had only her children left to take her.

This explains Jesus' words, "you have had five husbands and the man you are now with is not your husband". No supernatural insight is needed. I'd suggest she was an older woman who probably wore several rings, each given by each husband in turn, or wore five distinctive prayer beads as tokens of her loving memories. Also, a public expression of her status, similar to the Catholic rosary today. She now lived with her son. Jesus was simply very observant. Calling this woman a whore is unwarranted she was perfectly respectable in Jewish culture.

Serial monogamy was traditional, the O.T. "Book of Ruth" has Ruth claiming Boaz in a "next-of-kin" marriage. Jesus' mother Mary was certainly widowed and remarried, being much younger than Joseph. Intergenerational marriage was common and explains why Jesus had "brothers and sisters".
