Can also use bread instead of water 😂
ОтветитьGreat episode once again Jeff. Keep
Up the good work STV team 👍👌😎😉.
Great episode, love seeing the older sleds, i had a 4500SS and thought it was a rocket lol!
ОтветитьI'm between "fast" sleds and I picked up an 81' Excel III in... a condition. But it has ownership and works great so naturally I insured it and trail passed it in Ontario. The smiles and memories those a few years older than me share when I stop on the trail makes it worth the money alone. Riding it is actually stupid fun and I've already put a few hundred km on it this year alone.
ОтветитьFire in the thumbnail is a must!
ОтветитьWow thanks for bringing back all those great memories growing up in Northern Ontario in the 70’s and 80’s. :)
ОтветитьThis is why I love this show, it lets me relive my youth. Thank you Jeff, keep up the great work.
ОтветитьIt’s so refreshing to see a show that doesn’t JUST showcase the latest $18,900 sleds! I’m finding myself enjoying my shop time with our collection of 90’s muscles just as much or possibly MORE than a long day on the trail.
Keep up the great work Jeff!
great vid new slogan for end of show REMEBER ITS NOT A RACE ITS A RIDE
ОтветитьThis was a fun episode to shoot! I’m glad some of you are enjoying what we are doing. Next week we have a great adventure to Fort McMurray in Alberta, and after that show we are in New Brunswick. It felt good to travel again! If you’ve been waiting for destinations shows, thanks for your patience, and I hope you tune in next week.
ОтветитьTwo questions, why not skip tipping your sled and use Vaseline or grease to pop your clutch, I learned to do that pre internet, and were those Henrietta's sticky buns?
Ответить1980 I remember yamaha came out with Sr-V that year, what a sled. fast with lots of new innovation. Yamaha marketing as a Indy killer.
ОтветитьMy first 4 sleds where older than the Citation, my brother bought a new 4500 in 1980 !
ОтветитьGreat episode , really liked the citation and the guy riding it reminded me of sled ed lol.
ОтветитьDefinitely got some Sled Ed vibes when you picked up the rear and slammed it down. Well done!
ОтветитьThat hydralic clutch removal doesnt work on all of them. I have 99 skidoo that you need the puller. Its only $30.
ОтветитьI still love riding these old sled's no they ain't nothing like today's sled's but they are a blast
ОтветитьI had a SS version. Fast, fun little sled. Liked pistons too though
ОтветитьAwsome one! Love the story and the hype you gave to this old iron.
Keep them coming, it certainly put a smile on my face waching this one!
I had an 88 for my first sled it was blast! Juuuuust don’t get one stuck 😂 🤦♂️ I swear it weighed more than my dads 99 Zrt 600 😂
ОтветитьThe vibe of this show is unbeatable.
ОтветитьThis is a snowmobiling show and not just one big advertisement for the latest and greatest models. Keep it up!
Ответить"...just a tickle of under steering..." lol, awesome description of the mighty Citation 4500!
ОтветитьThanks Jeff for another great show!
ОтветитьMy childhood friends had a Citation 4500, and my other friend had Yamaha Enticer 250, (black/orange) and a Polaris TXL340, sooooo much fun we had on those 3 beaters,
ОтветитьDamn! I grew up on a 1981 ski doo citation 3500. Brings back old memories.
Ответитьbrother mike? More like milkman Mike....lol
ОтветитьGrowing up in the 80’s one of my sleds was a 1981 Citation 3500. Loved it.
ОтветитьThe SS citation also had different port timing then the 4500. They are a true gentleman’s snowmobile.
ОтветитьOur first snowmobile was a 1980 Citation SS Jeff... and it was a rocket. My favorite feature of the snowmobile was the recoil rope constantly breaking. Got so good at changing them I could, and did change them in the dark.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
I have a pretty much mint 99 srx700 been a good sled and sounds awesome. Had a shop do a top end though apparently it really didn’t need it but trying to be safe than sorry. Anyways got it back was harder to start if it sat a long time so I put gas in each cylinder and fired up. Later when cold and starting one cylinder would sneeze and cough. Had to give a little gas till it warms up then it would stop doing it. So if you stopped somewhere for a an hour or so it still fired up fine. But next day same thing. Thought maybe carbs had the place do them again they didn’t find anything wrong. So this year same thing but started to sneeze then backfire if giving it gas your fine till you let of the throttle. So I was thinking coil??
ОтветитьThe citation "first burn" is, I think, the single best segment I've ever seen on STV. Could not stop laughing at the complete deadpan, "as if it's cutting edge" presentation.
On the flip side, was a bit disappointed with the water trick segment. For a show that is almost always more thorough and points out the important details, it seemed to be a bit lacking on info (which way to wrap the tape, WHY a taper seals so well, the fact that you can use the same boot holding the primary on).
I have a citation ss and I still ride it regularly
ОтветитьThat's my sled, except I had the orange skandik 377, thing would have been awesome with a 2" paddle track.
ОтветитьHahahah!! Amazing episode, great guest, thank you very much!
ОтветитьDoes anyone carry new tracks for the Citation?
Ответитьdon't think i missed that Scion FRS in the background mine got totalled last weekend :/ dude ran a stop sign
