In our house we treat house maid and servant equally, no discrimination..my mother used to serve them tea before they start work, my wife follow the same, during lockdown we provided free grocery to them, when my father was bedridden, husband of one of the house maid look after him during the daytime..one should never forget the struggle days.

When you start behaving with a servant equally, get ready to be treated by them equally. It’s a hard fact based on experience. They should be treated politely but making a servant sit with you equally makes them forget how you should be treated. Can you imagine members of house and maid sitting on same sofa? Please be practical. Don’t be rude but be practical. There’s nothing to make such a hype of this. Servant should also be polite and not egoist. No one will want an egoist servant.
