Disco Elysium Final Cut Mini Review #1 RPG Just Got Better

That's just a typical day for me, don't gotta be a Sunday.

This game really hadn’t grabbed me...until now. Think I’ll go download it.

If it's possible for a video game to be described as genius, then Disco Elysium is the one game worthy of the title. It's truly something very special. I can't wait to see what the dev team bring out next.

Im waiting for patch 1.2 before resuming play. Lost 8 hours of progress because of a save data wipe/bug

the size of the texts is very small, especially the menus, it needs a patch

Really wanted to play this on my ps5 but Australia laws are ridiculous at times.

No mention of how controller support works? Anyone have any experience with controller support on the Final Cut so far? Really want to play this from my couch.

I wish they retained the great voice actors, example Cuno voice actor by Dot Major, Cuno aint the same with the final cut :( Get th F*k out a here pig! lol I still hear his original voice

Don't get this game on console until patch 1.2 comes out. There's a fair amount of small bugs and a couple really common game breaking ones. This game is a narrative masterpiece aside from that tho.

Calling this rpg and comparing it to torment is a heresy. Stick to describing every part of the game like always because this lack of knowledge is beyond pathetic for a reviewer.

So very unique. This is what happens when writters that are also passionate about D&D decide to make a game. It's the best story/dialogue focused RPG since Planescape: Torment from 1999. If that doesn't tell you everything, don't know what will (read: play it right now!).

Doesn’t sitting through all the spoken word make the game take way longer? That was my only concern with this version

Within first 30 minutes I died from a heart attack caused by turning on a light. From then I knew this game is going to be special.

Disco Elysium is a genuine delight - incredibly intelligent stuff and thus an absolute rarity in the world of gaming.

I just don't like voice over in "reading games" like crps. I this you can turn it off, but in most games you don't have that options.

Do you have to enjoy reading to enjoy this game? Honest question because I’m not one to read every note or doc in a game.

I really love the game, but the frequency and duration of loading screens is inexcusable and really bogs down the pacing of the game.

I can't wait for my second playthrough, I went full logic and smarts first time through and I'm having a blast but I REALLY wanna do the full all brawns no brain crazy mfer playthrough next, there's been so many dialogue options I've wanted to pick that would ruin my character I've built up in my mind.

This game is awesome with a nice story and all the choices in your head can be funny. This game is worth every penny I spent. So anyone who doesn't have it but love RPGs that are different and not typical by any means, go out and buy this game. You won't be disappointed.💯👌🏾

Top 3 rpgs of all time, I almost want to put it at number one because it is so unforgivingly different than everything out there.

Got a stay at home vacation coming up. Just ordered this game. Bottle of Jaeger some Coors light and Disco Elisium, should do the trick.

I think it would have worked better if the different aspects of your personality had different voices. I played most of the game before Final Cut came out, and that's how I imagined them. It doesn't really sound right to have an argument going on in your head with both sides sounding the same. Also, the narrator is clearly reading from a script, with little context of what's supposed to be going on. Lenval Brown himself confirmed that this was indeed the case.

Did 2 full runs and im thinking in doing a third one soon. Never had this desire for any other game.

3 yrs later I'm playing it for the first time, curious at all the rave reviews and analysis. Yep, this game is phenomenal, constantly surprising me EVEN though I've watched quite a bit of the low-down on this game and expecting to be surprised and looking for it haha. That takes some creativity and talent on the developers part.
