You can imagine the outcry if someone suggested that America tries to handle its illiteracy numbers the way the USSR handled it's illiteracy problem - in the early 1920s in Russian only just over 20% of men over 7 were literate and just under 20% of women over 7 were literate. I don't know how they handled it, but by the 1960s the number of people over 7 throughout Russia who were literate was just under 100%. `

And on top of that some people want to introduce texts to school that talks about the "benefits" of slavery (for the slaves) - what are they trying to do, start an ignorance breeding programme?
