Why is Russia Using Mosin Nagants in Ukraine?

From the Russo Japanese war to WW1 to WW2 to Africa, Vietnam,China, Middle East, to Ukraine

Before I even watch this, the Mosin is extremely accurate and efficient. They are obviously have mid range fights vs closer range. So it isn't really strange.

Because the authorities of the DPR and LPR stole all the AKs, and when the war began, they began to hand out what was left, under the slogan that the Mosin is a super sniper weapon.

the Nagant was designed in the 1890s, 1897 i believe. so its a 127 year old platform

I used a Mosin for my WW2 impression way back when. This is funny to see, because everyone would (playfully) mock us soviet reenactors because it was the cheapest impression to buy kit for.

Seeing Mosins resurface in a modern war just reminds me that i lost all of those arguments. K98s are kept as war trophies and owned by collectors, Mosins are owned by teenagers, conscripts, and cannon fodder. It's over.

Запомните: Винтовка Мосина. Никакого Мосина-Нагана.
