Another Justin, doing my best to refuse being a real welder.
ОтветитьNice video. Question: why didn't you weld a patch over the holes instead of filling with weld?
ОтветитьWhere is your face sheild dude? Wait'll you get a burr from a wire brush grinder stuck in your face n then say I am just some Mom. Jeesh
Ответитьold exhaust parts are a nightmare.
ОтветитьMilwaukee I love there tools but the m12 line the batteries have that issue I have the 1/2inch stubby impact m12 and the Sawzall
ОтветитьGreat set up but electricians and welders are about the same thing cuz you're acting like one
ОтветитьNice forklift
ОтветитьI came from the 7 years old intercooler piping building video, honestly inspire me to make something way better on my DSM
ОтветитьI think we all can tell your a bit overwhelmed with all of it just keep it going happy too see your making it all happen congratulations
ОтветитьIs there possibly another joining method that would work better than TIG welding for this application?
ОтветитьG’day mate, another great video. With the garbage that floated up, would there be any benefit in grinding it down and putting another bead on top? Or would this be futile and just bring more rubbish to the surface?
Cheers for all the insight you provide.
Just a question, could you have tried Inconel 625 filler material? This so reminds of older plane exhaust that I have welded in the past. By the way, have been a fan of ALL of your videos and fab ideas for years.
ОтветитьBeen missing this guy for awhile
ОтветитьI had to use those milwaukee die grinders at a shop I worked at for a bit, they were junk from start to finish. Worst battery tool I've ever used.
ОтветитьHit the power level button on the back. You're killing me dude
Ответитьgive that milwauki cordless garbage a flying lesson... straight into the junk bin.
ОтветитьIt's good to know that even good welders dip the electrode sometimes.
ОтветитьGlad to see the double OG is still posting.
ОтветитьDepending on setting, the milfukee angle thingy will shut off if you put too much load on it. It doesn't like big wirewheels.
ОтветитьIt's not a grinder it's not made for wheels. It's made for die grind bits.
ОтветитьOMG! I bought one of those Milwaukee angle grinders about 6 months ago and the same happens. The shut off if they see much load. I've run their corded tools for years and love them, but these cordless grinders suck for the price you pay. I have one of the straight grinders set up for grinding tungsten's and it works great. Also, forget running a cutoff wheel with them. Bad on Milwaukee to advertise the power of an air tool in cordless. FALSE!
ОтветитьIt is happening cause you try to use a tool for things what they are not made for...
ОтветитьI have the world camera cases together that went inside nuclear reactor, each one had to pass the multi types of inspections, no pressure there😢
ОтветитьHard brass Works great on any type of stainless steel, gas welding.
ОтветитьPlese wear a respirator next time. Your health is more important than our enjoyment.
ОтветитьMcDoodoo's doesn't sell food. Don’t eat there. 🤮
Ответить"why does it keep doing that" and you my friend now know why i keep saying milwuakee tools are absolute fucking trash no matter how you shake it. never broken a 1/4-38 socket adaptor before till i bought kobalt tools
ОтветитьHot-section aircraft parts are almost always nickel alloy. AMS 5786 would have been a good choice for this repair. Always back-purge, always shine BOTH sides.
Ответитьlove acetone
ОтветитьI would have run some silicone bronze on it
ОтветитьSometimes the most profitable job is the one you turn down.
Ответитьi have the same issue with the same Milwaukee die grinder, apparently owners are telling me it's 'designed' this way...
Ответить12 volt Milwaukee stuff is garbage
ОтветитьYESSSSS! More classes! Cant wait, thanks for what you do!
Ответитьi see the problem you were having with the copper inside a curved tube, if you could find a copper ball that might work better.
ОтветитьYou don't need certification if it's for general aviation and it's the owner of the plane asking. You do need certification if it's a shop asking and maybe if it a commercial aircraft. Owners of GA airplanes can have parts they need fabricated or repaired outside of the certification repair system.
Ответитьmaybe scan it and 3d print a replacement
ОтветитьAfter working on many old planes, even WWII birds, the availability of refurbished, and new exhaust systems is minimal. If you can become good enough to get certified to do these thin metal repairs....you will be a God..!!
ОтветитьThe right angle die grinder doesnt take much force and its shuts down. Its a finesse tool, not a force tool. I have one and have the same issue, its great at light duty sanding and cleaning, Heavy oxidation removal it doesnt cut it at all.
ОтветитьI can't believe anybody answers because I get spam calls from all over the country every day, sometimes up to 60 calls away to the point i don't answer the phone anymore
ОтветитьCongrats on your other businesses. I'm definitely looking forward to more TFS content
ОтветитьMy angle die grinder works much better with at least a 4.0 battery and 1" wheels. What you're doing i would grab my 4" M-18 Fuel Angle Grinder with SS knotted wire wheel.
Ответитьgot to chose the correct weld process, no way in fuck my tig machine getting near that, but i'll fix it, for sure
ОтветитьAircraft ex pipe is leaded gas
ОтветитьI’ve tried these aircraft exhausts, it is almost impossible to do it as most are nimonic and OLD.😮
ОтветитьYou need to get a high output battery for that Milwaukee die grinder and it’s a 2 inch die grinder and you’re using a 4 inch wheel. Your batteries do not have current to handle it. M 12 5amp high output.
ОтветитьToo much vibration😅😅😅😅
