The MPC 3.0 is getting better and better. I am so happy that Akai fixed the Track Mute function already. I think we can expect a really big update when Akai officially releases the firmware.

One the loading speedup, one word: keygroups.

The event and audio mutes as an option is good to have. They are listening In some cases.

Still can’t open any old projects from 2.x without being mangled. Track mutes saved into the file aren’t preserved when opened up into 3.x.

Still say it’s all a bit smoke and mirrors. Next month the “new features “ will be clip tracks and sequence time signatures.

That stems thing really grates on your nerves Conan. We definitely get it 😉☝🏽

All in all something I would like to see myself is an option to use programs because it can be just like the update for the track mute how you have to click the box ⚙️ and select. Something simple like that would satisfy some of us that have been using the mpc for years now. Awesome video ✌🏾

You are absolutely correct to point out the difference between stems and exporting tracks. Yes it is semantics but it is important. If they change it great. If not, I guess we’ll get used to it.

I’m glad someone from this community knows the difference between a stem and a multi-track. I’ve always found it annoying. We have different words for a reason.

Nice. Let’s not forget the ability to change time signatures. Not having that in a DAW is simply unacceptable. Great work though so far, all around.

I had the hang on startup problem. Hold record stop and playstart while powering on and it fixes.

Visual is looking so much better with new lenses!

I noticed this new Beta doesn't load samples to pads from 2.5 projects. It will load them in sample pool but not to the pad they were initially assigned to.
In the prior Beta everything was fine.

i’ve had a feeling for a long time that people were mislabeling stems, Hell i think sometimes they even call loops stems

When will it be available to everyone as a finished download? I have an account, but can't access it and also feel uncomfortable giving my payment details even though they say no charge will happen. Hopefully the update will become available just as all the previous ones were.....

thanks for an awesome rundown on the update and your thoughts, i am not a engineer but i higly agree on the stem/multitrack terminology issue, it helps for us producers to know the correct terms as well to not look like fools :) thanks for a great video

I made a beat in 3.0 then went to controller mode for vocals and it will not let me upload it. Are you experiencing this?
