About Thick N Sassy:
BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN THE PLUS SIZE COMMUNITY & PLUS SIZE DESIGNERS & BOUTIQUE
Thick N Sassy holds the largest plus size fashion shows in Texas. We are dedicated to the plus size movement by bringing together the plus size community, plus size designers, and plus size retailers with and a gorgeous assortment of plus size designs and garments.
SUPPORT ANTI-BODY SHAMING
Founded on the Three Foundations of Self: Self Esteem, Self Love, and Self Respect. We train our models to have a high level of confidence through our model bootcamp & etiquette classes. This is why we never fail to bring it with beautiful and confident plus size models.
RUNWAY INCLUSION
We’re changing the conversation about what it means to be a Plus Size Runway Model. We love both professional & beginning models that are size 12 - 22 and we have no height requirements. You’ll see them on our runways. What you’ll also see our models of all shapes, sizes, ages, races, genders and ability levels. Everyone buys clothes. Fashion is for everyone. Runway models should reflect that too.
ACCESSIBILITY
We make all Thick N Sassy events accessible to as many people as we can. Runway designers and participants pay a fraction of what it costs to show at the major fashion weeks but they get a level of production equal to or better. Those big fashion weeks? Yeah, you have to know someone to get a seat. Not with Thick N Sassy. Want to come? Buy a ticket. It’s that easy. Can’t afford a ticket? Apply to volunteer and we’ll do our best to get you an opportunity.
SUPPORT EMERGING
We love major label brands and we never think that “shopping small” is the only way to go. But we also believe that when the consumer has an amazing experience meeting with a local or regional designer and getting to know the person making their clothes, that the likelihood of those pieces being deemed “disposable” is much lower. We love designers and boutique owners tha make & purchase clothing built to last and that people want to pass on to their kids.
