ОтветитьTHE IMAGE TOU BAGAN WITH the foot ITA BROKEN
ОтветитьUseful and straightforward feedback, the best kind 👌
ОтветитьThis is the second video i watch from you and i already LOOOVE YOUR CONTENT!!! Thank you so much🥰🥰
Ответитьthank you I learned a lot !
Ответить(I'm using google translate so sorry if the grammar is weird) I would like to know more your opinion about fanarts. in my opinion fanart like redesigns, a complex illustration with composition, or drawing media with real people is a good alternative for those who still don't have the copyright of their original characters and are afraid of having their work stolen. (aka me)
I also think that maybe drawing fanarts the way I said above also shows your inspirations and that you are aware of animation media too, because after all when we receive some work we will spend almost all the time drawing characters that are not ours .
What are your views on my opinion? I would love to know! =)
ONLY 16K VIEWS???!? GIRL YOU DESERVE MORE!!!
Ответитьthankyou!! This was so helpful, I can't wait to try displaying my character drawings on a sheet dynamically! (I just never thought about it that way before)
ОтветитьI think japanese comics and anime blessed me with the ability to design highly creative and dynamic characters. American cartoons are generally painfully generic and I find them to be poor sources of inspiration/reference. Kinda remind me of cereal box characters just simply meant to convey a simplified human with nothing else to pop out for the viewer.
ОтветитьI´m 36 and I want to work in illustration. I start to learn recently, but I don't care if people says that I'm to old. So... do you have some advice to focus and improve? apart of practice =)
Ответитьuh, this sure seems like a don't cast stones in glass houses situation...
ОтветитьLoved seeing you ding fanart. I have really tried to emphasize to young artists that having most of your design choices made for you doesn't help you design better characters, and that art directors and such are not going to be impressed by fanwork/anime motifs. Fanart is okay in the exploration stage and definitely teaches you how to steal in the "great artists steal" context, but there's no replacement for drawing from life and exploring your own shapework.
Lot of really nice work in these.
Amazing analysis! That shows how important it is for portfolio to be pleasing to the eye
Ответитьthx for advices !! cool video
ОтветитьAs a person developing a story portfolio, this was very helpful. Thank you.
ОтветитьThis give me more ideas as an outlooks on the expressions and out looks to the character design over all. Such good criticism and would love to show her some of my personal characters for good advice/reference.
ОтветитьOMG why aren't there woman , like our beautiful and talented host here, that find themselves in the places that I wonder. (Well she's probably being pretty and talented while practicing her skills at home) I always find the keeping up with the kardashians or cheaters super fans running up seconded only to south boston 'southie sober' chicks that only smokoe weed nows cause they are in A.A. sorry just a passing thought about the characters in my life
ОтветитьSuper interesting!!
ОтветитьCould you do portfolio review again?
ОтветитьAs someone who is strrrruggling to do an character portfolio this helped so much!!
Ответитьshe roasts gud
ОтветитьSo much great, practical advice. Thank you so much !
Ответитьthis was amazing, please make more😍🥰
ОтветитьParker is a nice guy :D
Ответитьher batch of melody from the pussycats were FIRE!
ОтветитьI feel like roasting someone only really works if the person doing the roasting is good at what they're doing? This feels like Amy Schumer level of "comedy" when doing a typical roast in comparison.
ОтветитьHow can one trust someone who may or may not have gotten where they are based on their gender and not merit?
ОтветитьI'm glad people are still actually drawing but it all just looks like Cal Arts or globohomo.
ОтветитьI was really impressed with the last artist
Ответитьwhat does IP mean?
ОтветитьVery very interesting, I learned a lot thank you :D
Ответитьlove your channel <3
ОтветитьReally love this series of Portfolio critique. ❤Love so much the way you give advice for the improvement. Can’t wait to see more.
Thanks for all the applicant sending their work onto your channel.
Learn a lot from others’ portfolio , so interesting to see someone’s thoughts through the sequence and flow of the whole portfolio work.
I could watch you analizing designs/portfolio all day, this is amazing.
Ответитьsuper helpful <3
ОтветитьIt always surprises me when I go to check out their portfolios and they haven't taken your sage advice. This is literally GOLD.
ОтветитьQuestion, that may sound a little dumb, but do you have to know how to animate super well in order to become a character designer? What are the qualities of a character designer that the industry is looking for?
ОтветитьReally is helping me with character composition
Ответитьwhat your opinion of turnaround line up vs the animated gif, should a portfolio only have or the other or can have both?
ОтветитьRevisiting this video!! I'm glad that I am able to point out the changes here better than last year... shows that I am improving :D
Ответитьgreat, thank you
ОтветитьThank you ❤
ОтветитьI'd love to see befores and afters of these!
ОтветитьDoes anybody knows of a course that teaches step by step how to design exagerated characters (in both pose and expressions)?
ОтветитьGenuine question maybe you or a commenter can answer.
But you mention a lot of times about showing exaggerated expressions for character design.
But, how would you tackle shower a characters expressions if that character tends to be less expressive or more mute. We all have emotions, but what if you wanted to convey someone who was more reserved with emotions closed off or never highly exaggerated by personality?
These videos make me want to put together an art portfolio. I’m not even trying to get an art related job 😭
