ok👏 big brain time there are 20 names in total on the board in the bar. We have 11 people that we know of who survived the first trial, 2/4 of which survived with their partner that we know, only 1 person said their partner died, and from the reactions of some of the other characters make it seem like they did not know you could actually die during trial 1 so if people got different trials then it's likley some pairs didn't make it padt the first trial

Refering to yourself in third person is common for women in Japan. It has a childish undertone, so it makes sense for Kanna to talk like that. It's difficult to translate and feels wierd when you read it in English, because people don't talk like that in English. It's probably better to just translate it as "I", but the translator decided to keep it more true to the Japanese version.

As someone with Chapter 3 spoilers, I'm legit shocked at how far back some of these plot threads go. For example...

The minor list at the bar, with the unfamiliar names? May have seemed random at first, but we now know who all of these people are! Anzu, Hinako, Ranmaru, and Kanna's older sister! We got backstory, development, and the tragedy of witnessing 3 of them die all over again! Not to mention the painting... so much foreshadowing for later chapters, I wonder if there's more stuff in this chapter that hints to stuff in Chapter 4!
