Americans living abroad are migrants. Expats just sounds classier.
ОтветитьJust a little reminder for those in political quandaries and also the music industry and Hollywood. If you are looking to move out of the US don't forget Epstein Island. As some of you will remember how to navigate the property, I'm sure that you'll be happy to show the other like minded people what the Island has to offer.
ОтветитьWhere in the algars is Glenda visiting. I am going to be exploring there
Ответитьi have not looked at that orange stain nor listened to any interviews of him since Nov 5. They can have him.
Spent time watching info vlogs like this.
I moved to Thailand 7 years ago. I rented a two-bedroom two bathroom house in Northeast Thailand for $175.00 per month. The exchange rate is 30 to 1. The dollar is strong against the Thai baht.
ОтветитьWhy would we need a visa or passport to go to another country? Do they have rules to migrate? Here in America you just have to show up and say you live here now, no questions asked. Why do other countries have rules to live there?
ОтветитьJust give up your citizenship. Don't come back.
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьI want to travel and to find myself as a Global citizen living in a country where the political climate is not toxic.. I want to make this happen sooner rather than later, my only hesitation is the fact that I am a caregiver for a L.O ( loved one ) with PD ( Parkinson's Disease ) He is at a stage where he rarely wants to leave the apartment and will have so many medical needs. I just wonder how doable moving to another country would be even with excellent healthcare. Thoughts?
ОтветитьTalk about the medical treatment to expect
ОтветитьPeople who say do not leave because of politics is sort of silly. People left Germany due to the early politics of the Nazi party.
ОтветитьAustralian pioneering experience is practically identical to USA and Canada etc., especially in that the original imports were the common stock who thought it best to do your best with whatever is available, and awareness of the good-in-common culturally is automatic.
Same same everywhere.
FYI in regards to health care coverage….. the quote I just received was twice what I pay here in the US. 🥲
ОтветитьThis is a good video. Just one comment though. I noticed that when Americans move overseas, they are called expats. When "foreigners" move to the US, they are called immigrants (and this word is often a pejorative). So Americans who have moved abroad permanently have technically NOT migrated? Isn't this a double standard?
ОтветитьMaybe your reset can only come after his voters have experienced real discomfort. I am in as much disbelief as you and send you my sympathy from Australia 🇦🇺
ОтветитьSo grateful not to be living in the US as this Trump hellscape unfolds. Get out while you can!
ОтветитьI really wish my Great Grandfather had a more succint idea of where in Croatia he came from, and that we could find his birth certificate, as that we don't know either, I could then become a Croatian citizen by descent. As this is my family, great grandmothter knew of his family, she was from Graz, Austria, supposedly she was Bavarian descent, however who knows? Been quite a few years ago, they both immigrated to U.S. in the 1800's
ОтветитьYes please go...its time. Don't look back.
ОтветитьHello - please provide the virtual mail service that open, scan and destroy mail. Thank you.
ОтветитьThx ..great info
ОтветитьBefore you go make sure your grandmas, grandpas weren't illegal immigrants as you won't be allowed back. Check with an attorney to have advice before thinking of it.
ОтветитьDoes anybody have experience with families moving to Europe? We are older parents of two little boys and we have been talking about moving out of the US so our kids can be exposed to other cultures and improve our quality of life. We work in healthcare and also have a small side business. My wife is a doctor and will still want to practice where ever we move and I should be able to work remote in the US. We are excited to fully learn the language to allow us to someday work in the country we settle in.
ОтветитьThank you for an interesting talk. Looking for more sustainable living. Look forward to exploring further.
ОтветитьFor those who are younger and not retired, how do you make a living in order to be able to stay living internationally?
ОтветитьFor those who are younger and not retired, how do you make a living in order to be able to stay living internationally?
ОтветитьI was considering moving overseas but since Trump is re-elected I am happy to stay with a sane administration.
ОтветитьI’m leaving too. For Paris. My daughter, granddaughter, and son-in-law/ family live there and we have been planning this for quite a while. I am a young 74 old lady and I can’t wait to go! I’m outta here!
ОтветитьOh it’s definitely time to leave the US, but not because of an election. That’s ridiculous .
ОтветитьRenewing my passport.
ОтветитьI am getting my documents in order! Montenegro is calling my name!
ОтветитьMilitary here and I retire in 3 years. I plan moving to Bangkok as soon as I take my terminal leave.
ОтветитьMy take on the election: Imagine you have the flu, body aches, fever, headache, etc. Those are symptoms. Trump is a symptom, but the ILLNESS is the people that voted for him. THAT is what I look forward to getting away from.
ОтветитьThank you Marsha you give me hope and optimism. I'm over the toxic environment in America and it's time to make a move. I'm also considering Spain for retirement.
ОтветитьI am wanting to go to a Country for THREE (3) months from . 1 Dec 2024 to 1 March 2025. I want to go to a small city without cold weather and for it to be a great walkable City. I am wanting to rent a nice Studio/ 1 Bed Apt with a Gym and and ping pong, and other things to do. My age is age 70 and in good health but I am Fat and want to go to a beautiful small weather City and great for me to walk and be VERY VERY VERY safe. Please help.
ОтветитьExcellent discusssion
ОтветитьThese people are all in Europe. They may want to rethink their locations and consider somewhere else further away. Now that Trump's in office there could very well be civil unrest or even outright war in Europe. They should all check into this and perhaps reconsider their location and choose a safer place to live.
ОтветитьIt's both interesting and predictable that no African Americans were interviewed even though African Americans have a long history of leaving the USA dating back to its inception.
ОтветитьOne suggestion I have heard: a few-week visit is a vacation. Before moving somewhere, rent for a year and see what it's really like day-to-day.
ОтветитьVery informative. Clarifies many questions. Great to hear perspectives of these individuals. Thanks
ОтветитьInteresting chat with inspiring personal experiences. Thanks for sharing! 💓
ОтветитьWith Fascism on the rise and 50% of the American people in a Cult it's time to seriously consider moving out of this country for good. America has lost it's way and been lowered down a few notches now. It will take years if not decades to repair the damage that's been done to this country by Trump and his enablers.
ОтветитьListening this from Denver and seeing happy people from Colorado who have moved out of the states!
ОтветитьAgreed, things are looking bad here and I understand why people, especially people with children, want to leave. Children in Europe don't die from gun shot wounds while they are sitting in their classrooms. They can read what they want, librarians are not arrested. Abortion is still a thorny subject, but it is legal. But, do these Americans understand the reality of living in another country? Do they believe they will be welcomed with opened arms? In many cases they will be seen as privileged, rich Americans. Americans are notoriously naive about anything outside their borders. Do these people have the necessary language skills? This is a make or break consideration for anyone planning to live in another country. The political reality? Any country can fall at any time. One only has to study history to know that a safe place can quickly go up in smoke. Yes, Europeans who came to the U.S. to escape hitler were smart. And lucky. But Europe is rife with racism, political discord, etc. France could see Le Pen win in the next election. Hungary is ruled by a dictator. Romania's president has expressed strong doubts about Europe's future. The bureaucracy in many European, and other countries, is enough to try the patience of a saint. Much to consider. When the poo hits the fan, the "outsiders" are the first to be blamed. History doesn't lie. Oh, and be careful of the expats who tell you they would never move back. Nothing is as it seems and you will, you absolutely will, have regrets. No place is perfect.
ОтветитьMe and my husband will be moving to New Zealand for the next 4 years. Do not want to be here for what’s about to happen. LGBTQ Black and Brown people should also leave. Just know MAGA is going to be the next NAZI Administration KARMA IS A B**
ОтветитьOmg, love Marsha and that she does woowoo Gabrielle Roth 5 rhythms! I loved Sevilla but trip was cut short, need to check out Spain more, speaks to me!
ОтветитьAlso, because of IL, I visited New Zealand (7 weeks in a van), Panama ( chartered sailboat through San Blas islands, met David from the UK, who was with IL, in a cafe in Vulcan and went on an adventure with him photographing petroglyphs ). , and a bit of Spain. I used to subscribe to your newsletter and will join again. I’ve gotta get outta this place , but now that I’m 62 was nervous , so thanks this helped fire me up☮️
ОтветитьBE CAREFUL …. IF YOU SETTLE IN A CITY IN ITALY ITS HARD TO MOVE TO A DIFFERENT AREA OR DISTRICT
ОтветитьWhat’s a virtual mail box? What’s an example?
ОтветитьWith the US on course for an economic boom, the killing off of Woke hell and the clearing out of violent immigrant cultures, the idea of leaving to any collapsing cultures such as Europe, Australia, Canada or New Zealand makes no sense.
