Central defensive and defensive midfielder frailties are the bane of a promising Soca Warrior team. They must work towards keeping clean sheets to be able to progress in their development.

Yorke is getting the guys to improve, which is good, but at this level he should not have to get the guys to improve fundamentals of the game which means that our developmental system is POOR. We need to improve our ball possession; certain fundamentals of having a low center of gravity when receiving and shielding the ball was not done often enough and it saw our guys being pushed off the ball way too easily.

We had 209 passes vs Costa Rica's 413 with a pass accuracy of only 79% vs their 90%. That's not good enough. Our long ball passing was also not up to mark and we only had 1 interception vs their 6. We have a lot to work on.

The TTFA has to get our clubs working together to improve the quality of football in our country starting from grassroots, including school football where we have proper coaches. All the best to the Soca Warriors.
