Pretty cool Bill! Does the computer in the back let you set it to stop at a specific number of gallons (e.g. 100)?
ОтветитьHey Steve. Yes. When a delivery is scheduled by phone, online or via our mobile app the computer is set to the number of gallons requested. When that order is transferred out to the truck, the computer on the truck then sets the meter to only deliver what was requested. This process drastically reduces the human errors heating oil customers have seen in the past. The computers have also allowed us to move completely paperless for our customers during the current pandemic, thereby eliminating a potentially hazardous point of contact for our customers. The investment in these computers has hopefully provided a level of customer service well beyond what heating oil customers have received in the past. Thanks for watching!
ОтветитьCompany I work for uses electronic meters and manual. Many fans of the manual meter. No time outs or computer issues. They definitely have a advantage. I work for a discounter so 35 plus stops a day with 5 drivers just out of one terminal. Job definitely gets interesting in winter. You guys fill drums and gas cans? Seems to happen alot on my end.
ОтветитьNice video, I will start delivering propane Monday but my company also delivers heating oil so it’s cool to see how it’s done.
ОтветитьNice video--I have a CDL and working toward getting my hazmat endorsement. Maybe I'll be doing this soon 😆😁
ОтветитьGreat video! I’m a manager of a fuel company here in Alaska.
I’m doing research on going digital. We have some speculation about going digital, which I understand. It’s new and different which can be a hard no for a lot of people.
I’m curious on what equipment you’re using. One factor the drivers have mentioned is that they don’t want to slow down with having to go back to the truck and grab a ticket/receipt.
Your floor printer is a great idea. Quick and simple.
We don’t screw into any tanks here or have whistles on most. Anyways, I love the video and keep up the great work. Stay safe!
Hi, what’s the typical starting pay nowadays for this type of job? I’ve been a driver for over 20 years but have never done oil delivery. Are the fumes in the cabin really strong? What are your hours & about how many deliveries do you make in a day? I’m worried about getting into this type of industry because of the current world events. A lot of people I’ve talked to said a lot of you guys may sadly end up losing your jobs because of everything going on in the world! What are your thoughts on that? Thanks for the video.
Ответитьis priceright oil in milwaukee wisconsin?
ОтветитьHardest part of the job is driving.
ОтветитьWhat do you do if loose dogs are in the yard?
ОтветитьNice job
ОтветитьEasy job the only hard thing is long pulls. Im a female oil delivery driver if I can do it so do you 💪
ОтветитьThank you for your post I’ve only seen post from people showing them taking tanks out and or putting tanks in your post is the first post I’ve seen from the drivers side.
ОтветитьI didnt get a ticket after my delivery (not from this company, a different company). Are they supposed to print a receipt?
