in one of botdf's songs, they mentioned sticky drama too. i'm assuming that's connected.
ОтветитьI can't believe "ya dun goofed" has a tragic backstory.
ОтветитьThe part where the guy who made stickydrama house sounds a lot like Brian Starrz.
ОтветитьAs a Scene so true
ОтветитьI hate to tell you, but no, this is not a culture being left in the past.
This kinda thing still happens. Be it through sites like kiwi farms, or heck, even twitter.
This is not the past, this is the present and it's still a problem.
Pedophiles are just something else.
ОтветитьKinda seems like Twitch and the LSF reddit is the legal outcome of all this. They still do the same exact things that were done on those sites. Just maybe a little more censored.
ОтветитьSticky predicted Fishtank live
ОтветитьYeah, I'm sorry but "Sticky House" sounds like some sort of brothel or sex motel NGL.
ОтветитьDoes anyone else remember the Jeffrey star lyric in a BOTDF song that said “sticky drama all the way, want my (blank) you gotta pay”? Am I a crock pot or does that seem sus?
Ответитьsometimes i'm so glad i wasnt a teenager then, knowing i absolutely would've be in that scene/community, and so many young people were taken advantage of or needlessly harrassed. especially the way girls/feminine presenting people were treated. i'm so sorry to anyone who had to go through anything like this.
Ответитьman the fact that ppl did stuff like this just to be edgy is SO messed up...
also, I really love how the transitions have the y2k aesthetic with lolcat grammar
Jesus Christ, I hope Kiki and Damien are ok. Amor too, even though she's done some bad things what happened to her there is pretty harrowing.
ОтветитьMy God, Sticky Drama is like Reddit's edgy, problematic older brother. I fucking HATE Reddit, and Sticky Drama seems to be the ancestor of it. There is a LOT of illegal shit on there ,(such as Revenge Porn, Gore, Hate Crimes, CP, etc.)
ОтветитьThe lesson here is to be careful about what you do and post online. The wrong people will find you if they decide you crossed them. That and you can't take it back once it's public.
ОтветитьUggghhh, the whole Sticky Drama fiasco just shows how truly tacky and tastless some people are. I'm willing to bet, that if Chris had a Tumblr or something, he would be the kind of person to post things such as IRL and Fictional Graphic Gore, as well as SA. God, I can't believe that this fucker isn't in Jail, especially since he had photos of CP on his websites!!!!!
ОтветитьWhy does the internet hate teenage girls? I know it's misogyny, but why? It's stupid. You're an idiotic asshole if you're a misogynist. You're not allowed to not have a life.
Ответитьthe real bad thing is this
jessi slaughter gets basically taken advatange of by a pedo dahvie vanity (i think was his name) which later he got exposed and now theres alot of exposes about him now and instead of people going after the pedo people instead go after the young girl jessi slaughter and get mad at her instead of getting mad at the pedo
amore was paid off to defend john. she discussed it in an interview with vitalyspace!
ОтветитьLooking back, I'm glad my parents didn't let me have MySpace or stickem at age 10-11
Ответить*Omg no WONDER dArK n EdGy "hUmOr" was so fuckin prevalent during the 2000s-2010s, sites like these were a BREEDING GROUND make for them!*
I'm just so glad we are realizing how bad and toxic it all is
I hope everyone who was hurt by those types of sites is now doing well and healing
“Jeffree Star drugged, tazed, and r*pd me” is a crazy headline
ОтветитьWhy isn't this guy in jail?
ОтветитьStickam was sooooo sketch...i lost count of how many times strange men popped up with their weiners out without warning...it was absolutely disgusting
ОтветитьThe gun in the background is pointed directly at garf's cranium
Ответитьimagine being such a sad, sad little man that you attack literal children on the internet
Ответитьoff topic but ur makeup is amazinggg
ОтветитьI remember hearing about the case back on vampire freaks, man was that place a can of worms in itself
ОтветитьOmg I had a stickam account
ОтветитьStickam gave me my first stalker. It was the summer I turned 16 and I said I wasn’t going to be online the next day because I would be at warped. Some guy in his 30s who got on my stream a lot drove like 8 hours to go to my city, show up at warped, and find me. Luckily my friend grabbed me and ran into a crowd. Now I teach my niece to not share ANYTHING online, even mundane details
ОтветитьHow has this man not been jailed for hosting a site with CSEM material.
ОтветитьI was in high school in the early 2000s. The degree to which it was acceptable for people, including adults, to slut-shame minors is staggering in retrospect. Obviously the dude running StickyDrama was purposefully scandalous and inflammatory, but that kind of "shock" rhetoric was largely considered to just be people who were saying what everyone else was thinking. My friends and I would have judgmental conversations about the amount of skin other girls revealed in their outfits or their Facebook photos. We were all liberals, mostly from liberal families, who considered ourselves feminists. The misogyny was just so prevalent and so ingrained even in the fairly leftist spaces we occupied.
ОтветитьHonestly, i need chris to go viral again so he could be properly destroyed by the modern internet. Hopefully we can get some revenge
ОтветитьWeird to call a 19 year old who has sex with 16 year olds a pedophile lol
ОтветитьI started laughing at the thumbnail
ОтветитьMan so many of your videos cover internet things from a time I was definitely chronically online but I've never heard of even half the subjects you cover. I guess I must have stayed in one little internet bubble for most of this time and never ventured out further.
ОтветитьYikes. When I was in middle school, a friend showed me the world of Stickam, Jeffrey Star, and the like... No wonder I had some issues back then lol what a nightmare. I don't remember a time when being a kid on the internet WASN'T scary.
Ответитьi'm so glad edginess isn't as big a thing anymore as it was back then. being on the internet still isn't safe and can still ruin your life, but nowadays way more people actively try to stop that and to create genuine safe spaces.
Ответить"yummy boyz" jesus christ
ОтветитьNo wonder why this generation is soft-
ОтветитьThis site was a breeding ground for pedos. I know they thought they were in heaven being around a bunch of kids. There would be 30 and 40 year old dudes chilling in our streams when we were 12/13 years old. I remember thinking it was weird but everyone else was fine with it so I just kept my mouth shut to avoid being kicked.
Ответитьwhen stickam shut down i was gagged, emo middle school flashbacks.
ОтветитьHearing about the harrassment and victim-blaming of Kiki alone makes me want to reach through the screen and choke Chris until he liquidates back into the ooze he spawned from
ОтветитьAm I the only one who was always bullied by boys (as a teenage girl)
ОтветитьOhh yeah!! BOTDF…as an Emo music enjoyer…We don’t accept them ❤
ОтветитьHow Chris never went to jail is beyond me
Ответить
