So most of the things that lower your score in writing can improve your score in speaking ?? 🤔🤔
ОтветитьThis video plays vital role in ielts especially in writing
ОтветитьIn "The" nutshell? Excuse me....you are giving extremely bad information here. Firstly, as you may well know, or in your case, don't, we NEVER use the definite article "the" here. It is always in "a" nutshell.

ОтветитьCan we use "to name a few" as an alternative to etc..
Ответитьwhy dont we consider the naturl facts of using a language? one is that " Language is oftern arbitray " . When some one feels 'lots " as sensible and writable, the other may feel as" many or much" . Langauge is natural componant and does not belongs to anybody.! And,formal or informal forms are to be regarded when writing something formal like" cops" instead of formal "policeman"

ОтветитьWow! This is a fantastic reminder that it is extremely easy for one to lose themselves in daily conversations in English language with the use of simple words, regardless of their proficiency in English language.

Additional phrases could also be used to avoid using colloquial phrases in formal letters and essays. Suggestions are made in brackets (___)
• In a nutshell (it can thus be concluded that/the apparent/obvious conclusion is/one might conclude that)
• The findings were kind of significant (the findings were significant to a certain degree/in some respects/to some extent)
• Lots of/many (a significant number of/a tremendous number of)
• Kids (the younger generation/youths/young people)
• To get out of hand (when a situation becomes highly uncontrollable)
• Once in a blue moon (on rare occasions/only under certain circumstances)
Yours respectfully,
Neil

ОтветитьAre telephone and phone the same?
Yes, the phone can be used for any kind of telephone. I think if you do say 'telephone', you're more likely to be - but not necessarily - referring to a landline. I don't think I'd normally refer to my mobile phone as my telephone.
I am confused about one thing. I understand how to answer when the question says to what extent do you agree or disagree. But when the question asks if I agree or disagree, can there be any middle point or I have to either completely agree or completely disagree?
