This Film was Great and No One talks about it. I think it would be great for Parents to watch this Film with their Teenagers along with Just Another Girl on the I.R.T., Menace to Society, Boys in the Hood, Poetic Justice, Waiting to Exhale and Soul Food. All are great Masterpieces of 90's Black Cinema that really show that era Realistically and many of these Films are Forgotten or Disregarded.

Who did the voiceover? Because I swear this is the same guy who did the WWOR UPN 9 news intros from 2002 and later. He has a voice just as menacing as LaFontaine.

everyone is commenting on how bad the trailer is, seriously guys this movie was released in 1994, this narrator did every single movie trailer back in the day . Those in the know ,knows this is a great movie.

This is an excellent film!!! I just watched it for the 2nd time. Sean Nelson is wonderful in his role. It should be required watching in every high school in America--especially NOW. People need to understand this stuff. The last scene killed me with sadness.

Good movie he used the game of chess to take down all them dumbass drug dealers, how you let a 12-year-old out smart u into killing somebody... Michael's had his father's intelligence It should have been a part two to this I really wanted to find out what happened to him in his life... Good movie love the set up plots.. I give this movie a six and a half out of a 10...
