Future Perun note - It looks like we crossed the 500k mark between recording and posting this one. That is, frankly, well beyond where I ever expected this channel to go. I'll reflect on it a bit, and have some thoughts on it next week. I'll also give some thought as to how to mark the milestone.
Also - there is a hilarious and i hope obvious error in this one as a result of a typo. No PLAN vessel has a 1.3meter calibre main gun... it is 130mm, not 1330
Tanks do not fare well in naval battles
ОтветитьChina must be learning a lot from the Ukraine war. Just like fighter training doctrine is centered around speeding up ORDA (Orient Recognize Decide Act), the same can be said for acquisition/readiness (speed of the ORDA process is very important). China seems to recognize this and will likely quickly adapt to lessons learned.
ОтветитьLate to the party, but what I hear you keep bringing up is how quickly China is building up, while at the same time having practically no experience. I think they’re cranking out new ships, vehicles and equipment that they don’t have time to properly test or train their operators and technicians. They’re going to put all these shiny, relatively new and almost entirely untested men and machines into war. I don’t think it’ll be good for them.
ОтветитьApparently, the CCP managed to make a sort of...."non resurfaceble (without dozen of cranes) nuclear submarine" just recently.🤔
ОтветитьCmon china army cant leave china! China navy is amateur! China air force has less than 40% availabilty! Totally land locked! Merica can move 100000 troops anywhere on planet
ОтветитьPart of the CCP-PLA strategy is to gain seaworthy hegemony using low intensity aggression harassment that escapes the consequence of war which is costly - to take control over the South China Seas, the Chinese government is recruiting Chinese commercial shipping (via Chinese Maritime Militia) into low level maritime aggression backed up by the Chinese Coast Guard to harass non Chinese shipping and maritime operations. This is strategy avoids crossing the threshold normally associated with an act of war.
Ответитьthis is really interesting, i'd be interested to see an assessment on the motives behind china's modernisation, its overall strategic posture and main goals, ie while its probably a good thing for the world and the region that the PLA remains seriously untested, what are the possible motivations for the artificial island military bases, modernisation etc, and does it appear to be primarily defensive in nature as in a2ad against possible threats from the US given world instability, what impact would the belt and road initiative and brics/china's alliance building have and is it a net positive/negative etc.
ОтветитьSo they havent fought a war for what? 50 years? And they are the bad invader guys? 🤔
ОтветитьI tiered bs war funding but China looks like viable war
Ответитьwhen doing comparison in another bideo please show them in graphics side by side....easier to analyze.....
Ответитьplease stick to chinese assets & capabilities...do not mix with usa capabilities...do not make comparisons they muddle thecnarrstive..comparisons should be in snother presentstion...just chinese capbilities here...easier ti understand & anslyze...
ОтветитьIt’s so awesome to see your channel grow from what it is I dunno it’s awesome to be apart of the history of channel. LETS GET TO A MILLION!
ОтветитьThe PLA does show itself as world superpower military force. It just doesn't show to western audiences. Those kind of propaganda videos is shown mostly in mandarin within China media only.
EDIT : Pretty much similar to how North Korean Kim show to NK citizens only, within NK, that it is a world class military.
中国的军事力量仅仅是作为维护自己的主权是一个防御性质的军事力量,中国不会像美国一样靠着自己强大的军事力量去欺负别人
Ответить美国没有能力在第一岛链击败中国然后结束
ОтветитьPaper tiger… goes meow.
ОтветитьAwesome job
ОтветитьFacts:China's share of US gdp peaked in 22Q1 as 74%, and turn downward right after, 24Q1 62%,24Q2 59%. If you look at their bith rate or housing price now, you can make easy conclusion, this decade is China relative nation strength all time peak.
ОтветитьKey note China doesn't need to be 1:1 as strong as the United States militarly because the United States will never be able to deploy all of their forces to the Far East.
America will always have to hold a large part of its military in reserve.
They need to have significant forces to defend Europe and Israel and to keep South America, Africa and the Middle East in check because all of those regions will revolt against Western Hegemony first chance they smell blood.
China only really needs and wants to be strong enough to be impossible to contest militarly in East Asia.
They don't have 1000 bases abroad and dozens of nations to garisson or keep at gunpoint.
Although coming from me who is opposed to American global hegemony, what I said are for the most part objective facts.
Good part is that so long as America doesn't plan to go to war with China on their continent they should be fine, noone is threatening them.
No matter the improved capabilities, but if china continues to behave like a bully, irresponsible and like a barbarian among the family of cultured nation, it will not make a difference.btheynwill just be a nation of a strong military. That's all. And no nation will like them genuinely.

China's military, the People's Liberation Army (PLA), is often portrayed as a formidable force, a rising power challenging the United States' global dominance. However, despite significant modernization efforts and a massive budget, the PLA faces numerous weaknesses that could hinder its effectiveness in a real conflict.
Key Weaknesses of the PLA
1. Lack of Combat Experience: The PLA hasn't seen significant combat since the Sino-Vietnamese War in 1979. Routine drills and exercises can't substitute for real-world experience, leaving the PLA's performance in a true conflict uncertain. [1][2][3][4][5]
2. Inadequate Soldier Protection: Chinese body armor, while capable of stopping small arms rounds, fails to adequately disperse the energy, leading to significant blunt force trauma. This deficiency could result in higher casualties and a loss of experienced troops, similar to the challenges faced by Russia in Ukraine. [1]
3. Retention Issues: The PLA struggles to retain soldiers, particularly those with college degrees. Low pay and inadequate veteran care contribute to this problem, undermining the creation of a capable and experienced force. [1]
4. Logistical Challenges: China faces substantial logistical challenges in projecting power beyond its borders. Its heavy reliance on civilian ports and transport limits its strategic reach, and the slow production of military transport aircraft further hampers its ability to deploy troops and equipment over long distances. [1]
5. Poorly Equipped Soldiers: The PLA's soldiers are not as well-equipped as their counterparts in Western militaries. The budget allocated for individual soldier equipment is significantly lower, and much of the military's spending goes towards reconfiguring and modifying older equipment, which can be unreliable and dangerous. [2]
6. Confusing Loyalties: The PLA is not a national army but the armed wing of the Chinese Communist Party. This politicization can lead to inefficiencies and compromises military effectiveness. Political commissars, who prioritize ideological conformity over operational efficiency, can hinder effective command and decision-making during conflicts. [2]
7. Limited Naval Aviation Capability: China's navy, though large, lacks sufficient aerial capability. The shortage of trained naval aviators and inadequate training aircraft make it difficult to fully staff its aircraft carriers, which are crucial for power projection. [1]
8. Inferior Naval Vessels: While China has a large number of ships, many are lighter and less combat-ready than those of the US Navy. The disparity in ship tonnage and the lack of heavy combat ships put China at a disadvantage in naval confrontations. [1]
9. Subpar Submarine Fleet: China's submarine fleet is predominantly composed of diesel-electric submarines, which lack the capabilities of nuclear-powered submarines. The few nuclear submarines China possesses are noisy and easy targets. Additionally, China lacks experience in anti-submarine warfare, a critical deficiency in modern naval operations. [1]
10. Incomplete Military Reforms: While China has undertaken significant military reforms, these changes are still incomplete. New units like the joint logistic support force and strategic support force are struggling to operate effectively. The integration of old organizations into new structures has led to issues with cohesion and operational efficiency. [1]
11. Flawed Anti-Access/Area Denial (A2/AD) Strategy: China's A2/AD strategy, designed to deter US military intervention, has significant weaknesses. The US has developed countermeasures, including stealth aircraft and long-range missiles, that can penetrate and neutralize China's A2/AD defenses. [1]
12. Vulnerability to Cyber Attacks: The PLA's reliance on advanced technology makes it vulnerable to cyber attacks. These attacks could disrupt its informationized weapons systems, including missiles, submarines, aircraft, and space systems. [3]
13. Dependence on Russia for Military Technology: China's reliance on Russia for high-end military technology has exposed its vulnerabilities. The Russian military's performance in Ukraine has raised concerns about the effectiveness of Russian-made weapons and the reliability of Russian military doctrine. [5]
Conclusion
While China has made significant strides in modernizing its military, these weaknesses could severely limit its effectiveness in a real conflict. From inadequate soldier protection and retention issues to logistical challenges and a politicized command structure, the PLA faces numerous obstacles that undermine its strength. Understanding these vulnerabilities is crucial for assessing China's true military capabilities and the implications for global security.
Hey Chris! Y to ell us all something! Do you think the USA, should Surrender to Russia?
I am Serious!
Surrender is EASY! Fighting is Hard and Dangerous!
Respond Please.
.
What BULL! Very typical of course.
.
Putin and his terrorist regime do not care about anything but themselves. The Russian people blindly follow this monster who has not done anything to better the Russian people in twenty years and now he is sending one thousand men every day to die for his dream and still the Russian people make videos asking him to help them. Wake up people. This monster is no better than Hitler
ОтветитьWhat makes the PLA fundamentally different from the armed forces of other nations is that the PLA is the armed forces of the Chinese communist party, not the armed forced of Chinese nation. The US military's job is to protect the US, but the PLA's job is to protect the communist government in China.
ОтветитьTofu Dreg military 😅 the corruption in China is way worse than in Russia. Its like their Citys. From the outside modern and big but from the inside rotten and everything is collapsing after some time. Or their EVs etc. Cutting corners everywhere. I doubt there is a difference in their army
ОтветитьTrust me all Chinese made stuff are not reliable and mostly fake.
ОтветитьWhat ever
ОтветитьInexperienced and fake😂
ОтветитьI love the Australian accent!
And you seem to have good sauces for information about the military fauces!
The west gave China the materials and technology to produce weapons to fight them. China is holding 500-year old grudge.
Ответитьpowerpoint is epic
ОтветитьI have no doubt, that some of what you say might bear merit. From the economic outlook the Chinese will have trouble outfitting the navy they currently have let alone the sailors necessary to serve on new shipping.
ОтветитьRIP Strategic Support Force, 2015-2024
ОтветитьSo far the PLA proved it can take Philipine fingers. One finger.
ОтветитьTwo “LLs in Intelligence for your header.
ОтветитьOne thing that worries me about the Chinese military is that they are super self critical. Russia chest pounds all the time whereas China is more competent at surfacing issues.
ОтветитьChina imports 78 percent of it food. Blockade kills the nation
ОтветитьJia you Zhong Guo PLA 🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳💪❤️ Greeting from Philippines.

On April 19, 2024, the Strategic Support Force was dissolved and split into three independent arms: the People's Liberation Army Aerospace Force, the People's Liberation Army Cyberspace Force and the People's Liberation Army Information Support Force.
ОтветитьThats deliberate to show ukraine whi the source of all war weapons🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑
ОтветитьThere’s no way to get around the deaths due to starvation. The WHO puts estimated deaths at over 2 million a year just from food not shipping from the Americas. Good luck with that.
ОтветитьBrazil and Japan would be nice additions to the series
ОтветитьAll the latest and (doubtful) greatest toys will matter little if the users do not have real world experience to get the most out of them. And the nerve to make on the spot command decisions when things don’t go as planned. And realize those stories about the most dangerous military on the planet are true .
ОтветитьThat nine-dash line is just comedy gold how China claims the sea is theirs.
ОтветитьNothing more hilarious than westerners regurgitating intelligence agency talking points all the time without realizing everything theyve ever said has been wrong, I guess every view on here is bots cuz it's insane his own audience hasn't noticed this guy has literally been wrong about everything 😂 what Happ to Russia collapsing in 6 months from sanctions or Ukraine retaking Crimea summer '23 b/c Russians pissed themselves and ran at the sight of Leopards...the Internet war continues while "to the last Ukrainian" is completed 🤦
