I NEVER Want to Do this Again | How to Pass the Japanese Driver's License Test on Your First Try

Everyone would always say how hard Japan's driving test is. Literally everything you mentioned is pretty much the same in the UK. Explains why we don't need to take the test lol the only thing that's different is the track where you drive, we don't do that here. In fact they throw us in the deep on real streets with experienced drivers and on busy roads.

The licence transferral is likely easier for Australians and New Zealanders because we drive on the same side of the road as the japanese.

I just checked it out because you mentioned it in an earlier video with Shizuka but I don't think you mentioned yourself as being in them too.

I was able to pass after I failed one time. But I don’t drive in Japan anyway. It’s way difficult to avoid walkers, moppets, and bicycles in Tokyo, after I used to drive in Vegas, NV. Besides, I don’t need a car here.

The key is to drive slowly and carefully.

I didn't have a licence abroad and have to do the ENTIRE school course.
50 questions for learners permit , 3 months of school and then 100 questions.
Taking the test in English but it's like Google translate English 😅 .
Absolute nightmare

After over a couple of month being enrolled in a driving school,
Getting an eye exam to see if you are fit to Drive or not with or without glasses(it will be writen on your license so the police knows if you are only allowed to drive with glasses),
having to take a 6-10 hour first-aid class to be able to register to apply for a license in the first place,
paying 2000€,
having to attend at least 14 two hour class lessons on different topics about the car/driving theoretically,
having to do A LOT of extensive driving lessons in the public(normal street, not like that course that was shown in the video) from normal city driving, night driving, Autobahn driving and overland tours driving,
having to learn around 1600 questions from which 30 will be selected randomly for the theoretical exam in which every question has a value from 3 to 5 in which you are allowed to have up to 10 points in value wrong except two 5 point questions together which would be exactly 10 points but it is an instant fail combination
and finally having your practical exam where someone from the TÜV (Technical Inspection Association) does a 1 hour practical exam and trys everything to get every Situation possible to see how you handle it and to see if you learned what to do in every Situation,
they better let me just re-write my German driving license into a japanese one without doing anything on top.

That course is mental! Yeah U.K test we have to do the exaggerated head turning nonsense to show you are looking in rear view mirror and left or right mirror. They make us read number plates from miles away too. I’d be rolling under that car checking for cats and children.

It's not how good you are driving but it's how good you are at taking the test. This is 100% true I salute you for making this and explaining how hard it is to take the test

Translating from Palau license to Japanese. Will do the 10 question written test and practical on the same day. Super nervous for both since I get really bad test anxiety😩 but i hope i can get it in one try😭😭😭😭😭

I was failed on my first try. I did everything perfectly, except at the four way intersection, they took me to turn right and then left. I turned into the near lane (two lanes each way), then merged over and turned left. They instructor said that was wrong, and that I should turn directly into the far lane. Ironic, since I almost failed my driver's test in America for doing exactly that!!!

TT_TT I'm thinking about planning a trip to a more rural area so everywhere is pretty far and I was thinking of renting a car so I'm just looking up info on what would be easiest and cost effective.

Did everything right, but since I came to slow break. They said i needed to break very hard and come to an almost immidate stop. This gave me an instant fail, and then have to wait 4 months to take it again :')

Not sure if the EU has that agreement with Japan, but Norway sure does. I'm not driving alone in the city for at least a month. Got to mirror my driving brain.

I passed my second time due to not looking at the mirrors the first time and just turning my head they are aware of what you are doing look in the mirrors and do the 5 point check, it only took one month to re-schedule here on Okinawa, but what he is saying take it to heart or you will not pass, I have the videos on my channel of the course on Okinawa check them out if your here it shows the course A and B which I memorized, truly a pain in the butt.
