You really need to speak to an civil engineer erosion specialist and if there are any University extension offices with erosion specialist and get a plan together on how to stop that erosion… a whole bunch of riprap and deep root plants, sycamore trees etc seems really important to get in there. ( if you’re permitted to )
ОтветитьWow, that is so close to the river you'll have fish jumping into the cabin. 🥴
ОтветитьLooks like the last occupant had a paper wrap on every meal !!!
ОтветитьJanky is right !!

ОтветитьOkay… ya got to tell us bro (inquiring minds need to know!), why is the “Bride’s Pit” called by that name?!?! 😆
ОтветитьThe lack of rot on the wood in the cabin is amazing.
ОтветитьJust found you today. Now I have to go binge watch past videos.
ОтветитьDecided to come back and watch again just to look at the change that happened. Keep up the good work, and Great Videos.
ОтветитьBurn the wood
ОтветитьBoy oh boy if I were you I’d get someone out there to secure that drop off to the river - one big ice flow could wash you downstream!
ОтветитьI love your authenticity and transparency. I caught one random video of yours a while back and didn't mind it and then this came across my feed and I actually enjoyed it enough to watch the whole series!!
ОтветитьCongratulations Dustin. Anxious to follow your build.
ОтветитьEnjoyed your video and I subscribed. No doubt this project will take some time, one suggestion, can you consider numbering your videos?
ОтветитьCame over from Gridlessness loving what I'm seeing
ОтветитьCame here from Gridlessness and I'm excited to see you transform the dump into a beautiful homestead. My wife and I have done several over our lifetime and it's very satisfying. Good luck 👍💪👏
ОтветитьMAN I WOULD BE PUTTING THAT CABIN UP ON PILINGS THAT RIVER IS MIGHT CLOSE WOULD HATE TO SEE YOU LOOSE YOUR CABIN. BUT THEN I HAVE LIVED MANY YEARS IN FL, WHERE ANYTHING NEAR WATER IS RAISED ON PILINGS. AND FOR GOOD REASON.
ОтветитьYour top knotch!
I love your documentaries
Are you willing to tell us / make a video of how you came to buy this piece of land? THe price is great, but how did you come to hear/find out about the piece? Was it yours fathers originally?
ОтветитьI thought i saw your rig around mcleese lake area a couple weeks ago
ОтветитьThis series is going to be so awesome. I love this. Bc boy living the dream! Well done
ОтветитьThat is a dangerous spot mate in the river bend, we lost our house in 1970. It was similar spot like that. The rivers not jocking.
ОтветитьI always say it's a start congrats
ОтветитьShay checking in from Dublin Ireland thank you ❤❤❤
ОтветитьNew subscriber 🎉 I am here for all of it!
Ответить"And the second one begins when you realize you only have one" - truer words have never been spoken. When I hit 50 I realized I had lived over half my life slaving away for money and that ended. Now, at 54, I am hyper focused on retiring from my electrical career at 59, leaving IL for TN, and living the rest of my days at a slower pace. None of us know how many days we have left so best to make the most of them.
ОтветитьWhat a project .
ОтветитьFirst of all: HUGE CONGRATS, Dustin!!!!
I have been following you for a few years now and I am so excited about this new chapter in your life, you have come such a long way!
It's my dream buying a fixer upper and making it my own. I am really looking forward to this Lot 32 series, I am sure it will look amazing once you're done.
I’m currently on the couch with a cast on my right arm after surgery…long recovery. It’s a real treat to find such a good quality production like yours. Great camera work, interesting content and well placed audio bring it all together. I loved your cynical monologue during the gold panning video…great sense of humour! I’ll be watching all your videos and look forward to more while I wait to get back at our own homestead. Thanks for your work!
ОтветитьIt's actually rare that family is as nice as your bro-in-law.
Kudos to him for being such good family and donating $5000 of work to your new home. That's quite a welcome home gift!
Nice!
ОтветитьYou are an inspiration, Dustin. Live your best life! 🍻
Just loving this new series. 😁
I wish that someone would donate a golf cart or 4 wheeler to you guys. I thought the trips of trash would never end.
Ответитьif ti was me i would by like 500 seedlings and plant them on the side of the hill heading down to the river, when the grow it might help prevents further erosion.
ОтветитьYou are an amazing storyteller and photographer, I really enjoy watching your art (and buy the way nice renovation project)
ОтветитьAre you kidding? Live trapping and releasing the pack rats at the neighbors just passes the problem on down the road. I speak as someone who lives in an area which has never had pack rats before and now suddenly we do..
Ответитьgood job
ОтветитьVery professional video. Your life has been very interesting already! Good luck with your home! It’s amazing to see the progress!
ОтветитьI am glad you brought up the subject of a "Physical Address" as this subject is rarely brought up. Yes, you absolutely do have to have a physical address, legit physical address at that. There used to be states and places around the Country that would allow you to have such a thing but the government had caught on and now it has to be legit.
ОтветитьAwesome deal - I’m getting to that age where we are looking for other land - cheap but also close to a river or lake but not too close where a flood would affect the property
ОтветитьThank you my friend for entertaining us with your great adveture of abounded places and homes. I'm from Palau know as Belau Island and I'm watching from Koror. I'm from one of tiny States in the world with population of 300 and 0.6 miles long called Hatohobei State its a State of Palau. Hope you're interested to visit. It remote island with pristine environment and only accessible by ship.
ОтветитьReally looking forward to this build on Lot 32!
Love your videos and happy I subbed.
