What's the point of firebenders doing bending if it's only in melee range? Against superior melee fighters, that seems like a redundant plan. The CGI and costumes are excellent for what you'd expect, but I can't help but join the bandwagon in agreeing that the changed writing and direction missed the mark still.

guess one improvement is showing Sokka not being as bad as a fighter in the beginning, though not realistic considering he only had a little bit of real training in the series.
