Yeah the world government got some old tech they use to blow up a country and in the one piece world nobody can stop that type of power and that's nothing compared to a deathstar

You forgot that the world government has the ancient weapon Uranus which is strong enough to destroy entire islands the size of Australia (which is the average size of every major country in the One Piece world). Also the blast is so strong in creates a crater in the ocean… So hear me out. Yes Death Star, but also Death Star can get blown up by a single shot…

We also have to consider something else here, the World Government might be fighting 2 wars at once (If the empire decides to do ground forces only). The pirates and people who rebel against the world government would be given the perfect opportunity to sabotage the World Government by running rampant around the globe causing chaos and doing whatever they please leading to the W.G. having to choose between fighting the G.E. (Only Ground Forces) and keeping “order” at the same time.

The World Government may stand a chance if Kizaru's light powers allow him to travel into space and pop into the Death Star. From there, he can summon either the Five Elders or the Holy Knights. Game over for the Death Star. This is all depends on whether or not if Palpatine uses the Death Star immediately.

It kinda reminds me of how people often try to powerscale One Piece with Dragon Ball, the latter was already interplanetary before the first super form was introduced.

The One Piece world is varied and dense, but they expanding past the moon is still considered rare. They dominate their respective territories, and I'm sure each has a wildcard or two in their disposal.

The Empire could roll up with starkiller base and just take your sun.

My ONLY note on this is that we're not discussing the absolute MONSTER size of the One Piece planet. There are millions of islands on it, which doesn't seem crazy until you consider 2 facts.

1. The grand line when viewed from above doesn't look like it has land

2. The average Island size is roughly equivalent to the continent of Australia.

So with this in mind I want to say that just blowing up the planet might be a big issue, not to mention the gravitational pull of said planet sucking them in as they get near it.

I still give it to the empire, but this is more complicated than empire go boom

The empire has ships that can destroy planets with ease. Not really a challenge.

The star wars military you described at first was the Republic Clone army. Not to be confused with the all volunteer, Imperial army.
