I should reiterate, at 40 years of age, of course I have experienced intimacy with a woman, I have kissed, and done other sexual things but just not intercourse because I wanted to wait until marriage. So I know how to make a move on a girl physically as I've done it before. I've been on so many dates over two decades I've lost count, a few relationships here and there but not even close I don't think to having a long term partner. As I've got older, the opportunities are definitely less abundant but overall perhaps I'm just unlucky or there's something else that's wrong with me. I've tried therapy, been on meds, dating apps, still go to social events hoping I can meet someone but I'm still in the same place I've anyways been - a non married technical virgin.

I still believe sex is for marriage and that's something I can't compromise over now, especially after having waited all this time. That said I feel I have missed out on this crucial human experience which is definitely quite sad and that I have wondered over the years whether my general lack of enthusiasm and apathy in life is due to this. I don't know it's hard to say. Say I finally had intercourse tomorrow with a woman I cared about, I don't think my life will suddenly change but perhaps I will feel a sense of relief.

I've "lowered my standards" so to speak and spent time with women who I didn't find physically attractive in the hope that it would develop. But that caused more harm than good.

Infact I did this recently with one girl I knew from church. I was hanging out with her for the last few months and the entire time there was no physical contact as for me the physical attraction just wasn't there but I wanted it to develop as there were no red flags with her and I enjoyed spending time with her. But at no point did I even make a move on her and kiss her as I just couldn't bring myself to be attracted to someone I'm not into in that way.

So my real issue is actually meeting a girl I find attractive and have a desire towards alongside someone I get on with and connect with. That seems to be the issue along with not being white and being bald. Those two factors don't help either. Finally all the good looking women have so many options and on the apps, as a man you really have to stand out somehow or you have no chance.
