Gotta love some Moto GP. The racing is pretty much always intense and great to watch. Many years ago I Used to do Track Days on my RD350, that was awesome fun. But not quite as much fun as doing the TT course, that is scarily fun. 😁. 😁.

On the subject of strategy these guys have no radios and they dont have any pitstops in the race so they have to decide with which tire to go with and how to manage it the entire race. All the strategy is done by them while riding above 200 mph. They are more developed in racecraft than car guys as teams do that for them

You think they don't go as fast as the TT bikes. You really don't quite understand what it is. TT bikes are stock bikes that anyone can buy but tuned. It's completely insane because they run on public roads and not the track. The riders practically practice an extreme sport in which it is easy to die and courage counts almost more than technical prowess... MotoGP is the maximum technical expression of motorcycling. They are formula 1 two-wheelers that obviously only race on circuits and with very high safety standards. The riders are super trained and well paid top level sportsmen. In some European countries they are real stars. The top speed reached this year in the Mugello circuit was 225 mph so on the straights of the Isle of Man I don't even imagine what speeds they would be able to reach. The world championship also stops in the USA in Indianapolis. But it is very sad to see the low turnout of the public despite the fact that several American stars are passionate. Brad Pitt and Michael Jordan, for example, never missed an appointment. Several Americans were world champions in the 500cc era. The latest in recent times were Kenny Roberts Jr and Nicky Hayden (who unfortunately died in a car accident here in Italy in 2017. He was an exceptional boy from a human point of view)

A bit of ignored pearl of MotoGP is the first race of the 2004.
To contextualise it, it was the first race for Valentino Rossi after leaving Honda, which up to that year literally dominated the championship for the last three years (Rossi on his Honda went worse than 3rd only two times plus two retirements, winning all three championships with more than 100 points on the 2nd): he left Honda because he was accused of having little to no talent thus winning only because of the bike he was riding (a thought more or less shared by Honda higher-ups, as when he announced he'd be leaving Honda, they called average drivers to cover up his place relying on the fact that the supriority of Honda bikes would have sufficed to get results) so, as a personal act of payback, halfway the 2003 year, he agreed to go to Yamaha (also convincing part of his mechanics and technicians to follow him there) and started working to make the 2004 bike.
Of course almost everyone thought that Rossi's move to leave Honda would've sack his own carreer

In that first race of 2004, Rossi shut everyone up and demonstrated instead what a legendary biker he is. It's ignored because it's not as flamboyant and exciting as these quarrels, but the duel between Rossi and Biaggi (the latter being Rossi's bitter rival) lasted the whole race and it's indeed a brilliant act of racing.

If only we could get every Nascar fan to do this. The sport needs fans, especially Moto America.

Great reaction guys, this sport is so underrated, more people should watch it, better than F1 because you CAN actually battle with the guy in front of you as you're not limited by whether or not there is enough room around a corner, not to say it's easy to get past someone in bike racing, I've seen many messing up and crashing while trying to get through in MotoGP, and comparing it to the Isle of Man TT bikes, MotoGP bikes are A LOT faster, then can easily get past 218 mph, in fact, the official record is 227 mph, you guys should also react to the 10 closest finishes in the history of MotoGP.

As much as I love MotoGP it's Moto3, the wee bikes, which put on the best battles. Not uncommon to have the top 10 just a couple of seconds apart as they cross the line. It's hard to watch sometimes. The MotoGP bikes top out about 360kmh / 220mph

those bikes are faster then the isle of man just they dont get a track where they can open it up fully the TT uses road bikes modified for racing MotoGP uses prototype bikes built just for this around 260hp with 160kg bikes while TT is closer to around 200HP

Valentino Rossi (46) A champion capable of winning world championships with different teams and bikes and one of the most successful career in this sport.
