One can always count on a dealing with a bunch of Red Tape while living or an extended stay in The Philippines. I could never understand why things could not be streamlined or done online. Doubt it will ever change.
ОтветитьWhat is the acr card and do i need it to extend a regular tourist visa?
ОтветитьIt's good to hear about the 6-month visa extension being available in Dumaguete. The last I heard is that the 6-month visa extension was only available in Manila. That saves a bunch of trips, especially for someone like me who plans to travel a lot when I get to the Philippines and would likely be on some small far-away island when it would be time to renew my 1-month or 2-month visa.
ОтветитьI arrived via manilla about a month ago. The only issue I had at immigration on arrival is that I was vague about my planned exit flight. I knew I was staying for about 3 weeks, so that's what I said, but I did not know, from memory, the exact date of departure.
The young immigration officer was very surprised and a little shocked by response. So I had to get further evidence of a return flight, which was frustrating after nearly 24 hours awake travelling, but
I realise it was my error. Phil make it clear they want return flight details if only coming on the 30 day visa free period. So I will do better next time and be more prepared and it will go smoother I am sure.
I went to immigration at baguio for 59 day extension. Process was so easy, the guard immediately greeted us, gave us the form to complete, showed us the next windows to approach. I chose express so handed my form and passport. 15 seconds later was given another form to take to cashier. Paid 3000php and was asked to sit and wait. I chose to stand while my partner sat as I prefer to, even though seats were available, but the guard rushed up with another seat and wanted me to sit. He was so polite and caring. Approx 5 minutes later my name was called, I received my documents and left. The whole process from arriving to leaving was less than 15 minutes. In the Phil we need to be patient and expect long lines, in this case I was shocked at how quickly it went. A big thumbs up to immigration at baguio.
I love the philippines and its beautiful people. Cheers
Mike my 6 month runs out Aug 8 and we get married in September so I have to renew then file for 13A after we’re married
ОтветитьI watch Jennifer as well. I came through Mactan Cebu. Fastest trip through immigration I have ever experienced. As I am 69 years old I was directed to the senior line. The lady in the booth didn't have me scan my E-travel code, didn't ask to see my shot card, or didn't ask me show her my ongoing ticket, although she asked if I had an ongoing ticket, and I simply replied yes. She stamped my passport, and I was on my way to baggage claim. Technically I don't think you have any choice about the expedite fee. I have extended in the past, and received it the same day at the Cebu city office.
ОтветитьVery good information. Thanks Mike.
ОтветитьMike, upon arrival they changed the entry visa length from 29 to 59 days. Also, everyone leaving the Philippines must do an exit clearance...this is a big change from the prior requirement of an Exit Clearance required only for ex-pats leaving AFTER a 6 months stay. If exiting prior to 6 months no Exit Clearance interview was required. Regardless Philippines is doing quite well from its visa renewal cash cow.
ОтветитьYou are getting to be real pro now Mike. Excellent work. Really enjoy watching your videos when I can. Take care.
ОтветитьSo is the SSRV worth it?
ОтветитьHi Mike, I have my SSRV. I'm a permanent resident now. I love it. Not having to pay every 3 months, 6 months etc. Living the dream shout out from GERONA TARLAC
ОтветитьYou're paying too much Mike. Get yourself an SRRV it's great. Come and go as you please. No exit fee. Access to fill health. Whatever you need, it's great
ОтветитьIf you have an SRRV you don't need an exit clearance. Fantastic! I don't have to worry about anything
ОтветитьComing a year from now Mike - No vaccination is music to my ears - You may have heard about some people getting blood clots who took the Johnson & Johnson shot - I hope I can Navigate the banking aspect of thing's . . .
ОтветитьWhat is an ACR card?
ОтветитьThanks bro.
I was wondered about that
I won't be getting a test but I will fake one/document :)
I flew into Manila and did you paper work before leaving the states entry was a piece of cake because of that
ОтветитьThanks Mike
ОтветитьSick Grandpa channel did a hit piece on Mike’s Philippine Retirement yesterday
ОтветитьMy ACR card just expired this month and my six month visa expires next month. I don’t know if I want to do an exit visa or extend. I’m tired of the Philippines and have been for awhile. I have a gf here in lapu lapu where it has a very good immigration office as far as efficiency. They are the only ones who would let me do a six month visa with no issues. Manila, Cebu, Angeles, and Palawan wouldn’t let me do it and have me different excuses or no reason why. This was after I was here a few months.
ОтветитьThank you Mike for the info Re: the immigration in the Phillippines. I plan to travel to the Philippines next year to visit Manila and Dumaguete city. Again , Thank You.
Sonia
Hi Mike. How does the cost of an SRRV compare to the tourist visa? I am ex-military. I have heard it costs $1500 for SRRV. Meaning it would take 5 years to break even with the numbers you are posting. You have been in the Philippines for awhile. What is the benefit of an SRRV?
Ответитьi watched the video that got you and mark upset that world zoom put out and I told him that her should move if seeing older white men with good looking young but legal age women move to another Island and its not his lift so leave people alone :)
ОтветитьWhat is an ACR card?
ОтветитьI've heard that its better to fly into cebu city from the US, is that true. If so then it will be easier for me to take a ferry to dumaguete
ОтветитьI should just mention that if you have an ACR card and you leave the country, that ACR card is revoked and you have to start again if you come back into the country
ОтветитьI arrived in Cebu May 22 and going through customs and immigration was very fast and uncomplicated. I received my first visa extension at Robinson's Galleria Mall in Cebu. Last week I got my second visa extension for two months. Today I started the SRRV process. I will purchase a new vehicle after I receive my SRRV card as I have been informed you need either an ACR card or SRRV card in order to register a vehicle. I have now leased a new condo in Mandaue City. A little pricy but very good amenities and great security. Enjoy your videos.🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
ОтветитьHi Mike. Very useful information. I still find it hard to believe how costly a simple tourist visa is there. I’ve been living in Japan for over 12 years and the very most I’ve ever paid for my work visa here is $40/year! Some years, I’ve been granted a 3 year visa for the same $40. A 1-year tourist visa in the Philippines 🇵🇭 is 10x the price of a visa in Japan. I’d really like to know how they justify those prices.
ОтветитьHow do i find out the cost of getting a travel Visa for a Filipina Living in China so she can come to the us ?
ОтветитьYes mike i was surprised at that myself the six month extension. When i first got here here and a half ago you had to do to 29 days. Then they first one was a 30. After that i got the first 6 month one. When i win in the next time they had cut back to only 2 month. No explanation now 6 again. Be well you 2.
ОтветитьDumaguete is no longer doing 6 month extensions anymore. They told me the Main office in Manila is the only place to get 6 months at a time. Only 2 months at a time max. I was just there last week.
ОтветитьHi. I flew in to Manila August 29, 2023 from the States. I had the Covid vaccine, had the vaccine card plus I did the antigen test right before I flew. They didn't ask me for any of it at Houston or the Manila Airport. Stamped my passport and kept on rolling.
ОтветитьWe just finished our 3rd ONLINE extension. Online is very convenient 👍 (latest extension was for 6 months)
Ответитьwhats this expiry for Acr-i card? As I understand, you get it after your 59 days and you can stay for up to 3 years. Can you explain what this expiry of acr is?
ОтветитьWhen you leave on a visa extension do you keep the extension and can return? Or do you start over when you enter the country again? and the acr card can only be started after you have been there over 2 months is this correct??
ОтветитьGood Morning Sir, I would like to ask if you have idea how much the extension of visa now for foreigner with a filipino spouse? Thank you
ОтветитьThe Dumaguete BI office is charging a express lane fee for non-express lane service!!! They said, "come back tomarro and get your passport" I said I paid an express fee, why I come back tomarro? Whats express about that? Then she says 'oh you will wait? " I said of course I wait, to ALL foreigners, time to stop paying express lane fees for non express service, absolutely ridiculous and a scam!!!! Some people don't live there, so now they paid an express lane fee and had to stay and pay another hotel fee, I'm not new to Phil, an express lane fee in all other offices is same day transactions!
ОтветитьThree years before you must leave the country ?
Thx !
So in Bagiou they may not give 6 month visas ?
Thx
What is express if you have to come back the next day?
ОтветитьGood luck getting a 6 month tourist visa extension. According to JRC and BI no more 6 month extensions only 2 months now.
ОтветитьThe 6 months extension has been terminated. Only 1 or 2 months are available.
Just pay your express lane fees and go back home with your passport within the hour. Are you guys cheapgoats?
My wife is in Dumagete
ОтветитьThats not true about covid, they dont ask, non vaccinated for covid dont need to do anything
ОтветитьOut dated information check for up to date information with immigration
ОтветитьYou can only extend 2 months at a time now i heard?
ОтветитьIs she your gf?
ОтветитьJust flew into Manila on Sunday. No real immigration issues. It was quite easy. Filled out the E-Travel required documentation two days before I left; only took a few minutes. Showed my E-Travel card and COVID vaccination card to the Philippines Airlines before my departure from LAX … no issues. Quite easy if you follow the rules. Chilling down in Davao now. 😊
