This is why I play Old World campaign mod when I want to have the true Eight Peaks experience. All 8 peaks are settlements and they all need to be recaptured to shake off your Clan Angrund Curse of Upkeep. Karagril has all the gold.

Granted, I took the un-Dawi strategy of waiting till Skarsnik left to go take Karak Azgal, then rolled in with my two armies and hastily grabbed all the other peaks before he got back. Mistakes were only made when I tried to push my luck and fight outside the holds. Darn raki kept ambush-attacking me.

In all honesty?
The whole 8 Peaks thing should be utterly reworked.
Like make Karak 8 Peaks a single large central settlement which would be surrounded by multiple smaller settlements (aforementioned mountain peaks + entrances that would be the Dwarf equivalents of Empire Forts, HElf Phoenix Gates and Cathayan Bastion entrances).

I am sooo happy to see that Sleek Sharpwit still uses his vast knowledge about dwarfs to educate Queek. He may be dead now, but he is still the smartest skaven warlord Clan Mors ever had, and that is double impressive when you remember that clan Mors is not as backstabbing towards their own clanrats as most other skaven

Karak Eight Peaks is underwhelming in the game, considering there are 3 different factions that want to rush to it at any cost (and I dont even know Warhammer Lore, just think it deserves a rework).

This is why I play belegar in the old world mod. 8 settlements, 4 provinces, every single one has a landmark, you get +5 or so lord recruit rank just for having it. A gold mine in one of the Karaks, and belegar starts like 3 provinces away from it.
