I believe Malaysia is a better option.
There is a longer visa option, and the country is better overall for retirement.
The problem with Thailand is that it's a money pit, and many of the locals are on the band wagon nowadays.
Of course, we can't really truly belong out there.

The Thailand dosent have reciprocal arrangements for pensions with the UK…Canada and New Zealand dosent either…

Tony's adventure in Britain was a breeze, but Thailand poses quite the challenge! Beware, for the enchanting ladies there will show him love until they have emptied his pockets dry. Then, Tony might just find himself sailing back to Britain, hoping the government will lend a helping hand when he faces the woes of homelessness. A tale of two lands, indeed!
