Is that SFC Scott Fisher??? I didn't know you worked at Wilson Combat! Nice.
ОтветитьNo bullshit, no “click here” just a good instructional video lol
ОтветитьConcise.
ОтветитьThanks. Short and to the point. No ramblings for 20+minutes and it’s from a trusted source.
ОтветитьThank you , Excellent Video, very helpful!!!
ОтветитьNothing on the locking lugs?
ОтветитьWilson Combat
You have great products and I'm a new fan of the Ultima II Universal. The method advised in this video of liberally applying the oil to the top of the barrel is terrible advice? It results in the breach face and extractor covered in a lubed mess.
Seems like a lot of oil!
ОтветитьShort and to the point. Unlike some of these other guys are going to sit and talk for 10 minutes before they do anything. Lol
ОтветитьWhats your guys thoughts on cleaning and lubing a BRAND new 1911 before shooting for the first time? i hear most people like to clean and lube before shooting a brand new 1911 because of fear of how long the gun has been on the shelf or OCD problems such as personally knowing its clean and lubed. but i also hear that during a break in period, your not suppose to touch or field strip the internals of the gun to clean untill about 400 rounds later, or after the break in period. getting mixed messages and dont know what i should do :/
Ответитьpeople don't understand as long as you don't lube your firing pin you can slop that shit on a 1911 and it will only love it...my 1911 loves being road hard a put away wet!
ОтветитьAgreed. If I'm at the range just having fun then my Brown will be kept pretty wet. Just sitting around? Some thin grease so it will stay put over time. Lately it spends too much time sitting on the night stand because I can't afford to feed her.
ОтветитьThat is probably the most logical reason not to over lube, besides saving money. That being said I'd rather slightly over lube than under lube to be conservative with respect to abrasion and corrosion.
ОтветитьMy Ed Brown will run with this much oil too, or urine, or water, or blood; But that doesn't mean that it is a smart thing to do. If nothing else you are going to get sprayed in the face with oil when you fire it.
ОтветитьBesides It's his oil, let him waste it as he wants to. It won't harm the gun just his wallet.
ОтветитьWhat is too much? I think I could dunk my 1911 in motor oil pull it out chamber a round and fire it without a hiccup. I'd let the barrel drain a little first though.
ОтветитьUse high-temp wheel bearing grease as it won't run off.
ОтветитьWhy didn't an expert gunsmith at Wilson Combat review and correct this guy? This is WAY too much lubrication as indicated by experience and even WC's own videos of gunsmiths at their facility building and lubing their pistols. Bill should review with his gunsmiths all videos his company publishes.
ОтветитьSure, that's why Bill Wilson is a Multimillionaire, because he tells all his customers to over-lube their 1911's !
Ответитьjust a couple of drops will do the job.
ОтветитьAll that oil is going to run out of the gun. I do like oil and grease on my 1911s but that is excessive.
ОтветитьWAAAY too much oil on the slide rails.
