Thanks for the mention, Max, it's very much appreciated!
I wonder if any other troopers have picked up on the new 1/48 Sea King just announced by Airfix. Looks like a fine kit. I wonder would it be ok to use US Navy markings?
You are spoiled now. Just think back to that Me-262. That lighthouse is a fun kit. I keep forgetting to pick up batteries for it. I also picked up that Hornet +3 I mentioned on last live stream but, not from OPMK. That one is still there at 155.00. I went to ebay & found one for 80.00 dollars.
ОтветитьEverything you said about Tamiya is right. I've never had a fit issue. Even so, there will always be a soft spot in my heart for early Aurora models. They had their flaws but were they ever fun!
ОтветитьMax, the P-38F is looking good. I've got the "J" version that's being built wheels up. If that part that broke is the same as the one in the J I can send you a replacement. Let me know.
ОтветитьThat airplane is turning out amazing. Have a great one
ОтветитьThanks, my Captain 😊
ОтветитьP-38 is looking great. I have the Monogram 1/32 one in my stash. I may have to take it out the goat locker.
ОтветитьThank you.
ОтветитьI would like to know how they fabricated the HELMET ??????

P38 looks great.
ОтветитьYou should totally pick up that lighthouse kit! I recently did a full build/review for Atlantis of that kit on my channel, it's a really nice kit. The whole time I was building it, I was thinking to myself, "Max would add a Godzilla kit to this"!!! Have a great evening Max.

What you described about part separation from the sprue shows the excellent engineering Tamiya put into this kit. When we build “cheaper” or older kits there is usually more forgiveness in this part of the build, but shows up during assembly as fit issues…..hence the wonderful invention of putty!
ОтветитьI have that 1/12 scale model "Red Baron" that Tom Daniel is referring to.
ОтветитьThe challenge with this kit is trying to figure out if there is anything wrong. At the other end of the scale I am working on an Academy 1/48 Corsair; Nuff said.
ОтветитьP-38 looking mighty fine. Thanks for the heads up on the gates...now don't succumb to the "Princess and the Pea" syndrome.😀
ОтветитьThey are definitely precise kits. For me the easier it goes together the more energy I have to detail them out
ОтветитьAWESOME!!
